once again, the loss stopper is asked to come in and stop the bleeding....

1) Toronto Blue Jays R. Halladay -175 ( 1/2 unit)
damn, the line's high because Oaktown is throwing a rookie out....if he wasn't there, we'd get some better value...but you can't argue with Halliday's 19-2 record with the Jays AFTER they have lost games the last 2 seasons...

yeah, that's why i only have 1/2 unit on it...

2) St Louis Cardinals C. Carpenter -120 ( 4 units)
geez....i don't bet on them when they're on their winning streak....and i bet on them WHEN they hit it...against the CUBS< no doubt.... cripes.

this is how bad my luck is this season:

Chicago's first four-game sweep of the Cardinals at Wrigley Field since 1972 left the Cardinals 0-7 this season at the Cubs' home park.

since 1972....WTF.

oh wait, there's more:

It was Carpenter's first loss in seven career starts at Wrigley Field. He had been 4-0 at the Cubs' home park and 6-1 overall against them. ..

i didn't have any money on the METS /BRAVES game, but check out this stat as well:

New York completed its first sweep of at least three games in Atlanta in 21 years, beating the Braves 10-6 Sunday.

The Mets swept a four-game set in Atlanta from July 4-7, 1985. Their last sweep of any series was a two-game set May 1-2, 1989.

The Mets are 8-4 against the Braves this year, including a 5-1 mark at Turner Field. It is a notable turnaround from last year, when the Mets were 1-8 at Atlanta. Entering the season, the Mets' all-time record in Atlanta was 110-151.

21 years....I'd hate to be the guy who doubled down on that series...

makes me sick.

first time this season, i'm gonna chase my losses:

3) Texas Rangers -164 ( 2 units)
to avoid the sweep...redman hot, but Texas should play desperate ball since oaktown won today already...they can't lose anymore ground.

4) Boston Red Sox -144 ( 2 units)
YANKS won today already and with their ACE on the mound, i like their chances....CMON BIG PAPPI!!!!

gl to all of us.
