Ya....the guy gets rocked at NY earlier giving up 9 runs in 1 inning and now gives up a 4 spot in the 1st at home. Was hoping he's step up just a little here at home.....YA RIGHT!! What a bum!! The only thing Marlin backers have going is Trachsel is going who's very hittable, but this looks to be a shootout and no way FLA matches up with NYM in a shootout.......

Wow - whole team didn't come to play tonite

Wow - whole team didn't come to play tonite

They already have 4 errors in 3 innings.. on a pace for 12 errors (easy math, even I could do it)...

Wonder what the record is for errors in a 9 inning game?

Yea, Marlins were a really bad play tonite.. who'd have thunk they wouldn't come to play tonite?

Obviously not me

the most errors in a game is 12 - there have been a number of games with 11 and 12 errors by a team - but they all have been before 1905 - when fielders gloves were very small, and official scoring was probably much different.

They consider anything after 1900 to be the "modern era".. but I would guess when it comes to fielding, you would have to look at games 1970 and later to be comparable due to scoring changes, glove size changes, etc....

Wonder what the "record" is for errors by 1 team in a game from 1970 on? I doubt this is something that would be easily searchable...
