Way to represent proud, some great photos by cardplayer and our own madjack members onsite at vegas.

Like others said, what a great run, and love the shirt with the sites name on it.

When are you coming back home to good ole Indiana

Kansas City area for who knows how long....
collected my admittedly fading wits now...

collected my admittedly fading wits now...

Jack's end in big event went slow and fast....

His table was right on the rail, crowds thin today. Ctown and I strolled into tourney room with less than hour of play before break. Jack had been moved and took a while to find him, Ctown spotted him right by rail.

After watching play peering between and over shoulders for only 15 mins or so, Ctown and I were able to get spot right on rail next to Jack.

not long after that, Jack won a small, next a bit larger pot and looking good. Then that big pot started as we watched Jack deliberate, stew, then put stack after stack into it.

Time seemed to go slow as stacks went in and dealer had to count chips and consolidate them.

an "all in table" call went out, ESPN on table one over, started looking over Jack's table and tourney officals showed up.

I'm looking over more slowly evolving action, then bam! flop---hole cards tossed. Jack, standing, raps the table---not hit it, just a hard rap. Looks to me like he lost the play I fear. Ctown then sez to me "Jack's out".

I look at Jack's expression of pain, disappointment, a little dazed relief too, perhaps. I'm not sure, hard to describe...

Ctown confers with poker-playing blond rail bird next to him to recall details of play.

Jack still in bit of fog looks about after shaking hands with a few fellows at the table. He was impressively calm and held together like Jack through these few minutes of hard realization.

Asian fellow that put out Jack now different, his slow sweaty face of mild pain he had all thru this is now excited smile stacking chips, seems a different fellow almost.

ESPN then request interview. Nolan walks by on some mission, Jack touches his arm, Nolan looks over "I'm out Nolan" Nolan leans his side and head over "Jeeze, I'm sorry Jack!" with noticeable pained emotion.

10 mins of play left and officials start moving us spectators out. Jack is now getting set up for interview. Ctown sez we should be able to get back in by other tourney going on at other end of room, next to Jack's pay window. Sure enough. He also asked me if I wanna fire up laptop now to post news, no, I don't wanna post this news.

We see Jack across room finish interview, talk to officials, sit a while, then get over to pay window.

Outside then for smoke, talk, replay of last hand. "He came over me with what, $60k then? I flet pot commited....I was doing fine, had almost $200k, and I wanted to avoid these big pots too....always seem to happen near end of play session..."

then a decision to get some drinks somewhere..

Jack might win the $1500 tourny. That's gotta be a quarter million or more. He might end up with a bracelet anyway. Last two tournaments he's placed in the money (pokerstars and WSOP). Not over yet...

"thanks again for the support, i'm still terribly disappointed, but i'll be back!"
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I certainly think given a few days to digest what you did accomplish--a lot of initial disappointment will disappear Jack.

As someone memtioned finishing in top 5 % of so many is a feat in itself--especially considering so early in your poker endeavors against the worlds best--and getting paid to do what you enjoy--not so bad either:)

---and no doubt you did finish #1 in tourney for friends and support--which is a ticket many still at the tables will never cash.

You certainly didn't disappoint us--

Was quite exciting to share your experience these past days and many thanks to those reporting during tourny--almost like we were sitting in the gallery.

I read an article about this guy Pennington I think it was. In his mid 20s . His parents were very upset that he did not have a full time job and was just playing poker.

Then he came home with a 40 K poker tournament win.

Does this win at WSOP mean that Jaek is going to turn Pro ?

I would have to say yep.

Biggest verified money win ever at Madjacks and its the boss.

Well there was that time when that USC guy called in a 25 k half time hedge, but that don't count.

Quite a run. Very enjoyable to watch.

Save 10 K to assure a seat in next years annual event.

Jack -

You played great. Just look at what you accomplished and how many of the great pros that you beat out. Don't remember the exact figure but 35k is not a bad payday either. Have fun with it and that should be split one way - on yourself, you deserve it buddy. Next year I bet you go above and beyond.

Arrow had a huge cash at a WPT(?) event, not sue what the payoff was, but it was a final table appearance and that ain't chump change either.

Reguardless, not many people will ever cash like that despite numerous attempts.

Way to go Jack! Just a matter of time before you win this thing. I am sure you are disapointed but at least you got to cash a check. Great run!
