I Am Scared To Deposit With Any Book Right Now

Normally around this time of year I get very excited about the football season being right around the corner.

I pick my 5 or 6 books that I plan on using for the season, load up, and make my deposits into each one. This way, I know that I will have cash with all of them and I don't have to worry about making any more deposits for the season.

However, this season is different. Usually, I just have to worry about winning my bets. Now, with all of this stuff going on with BOS, Infinity, MVP, etc., I now have to worry about the books taking my money before the games have even started! It's like I am doomed before I even begin.

Maybe I am just being paranoid, I don't know. But this is the way I am feeling right now. I just feel like at any moment these books could close down, and what can I do about it?

Absolutely nothing.

Everyone always said that this would never happen to BOS, and sure enough......it happened.

Who can say that this won't happen to the rest of them?

I am not trying to put a damper on anyone's season here or anything like that, this is just the way I have been thinking lately.

Just wondering if anyone else is having the same concerns?

All thoughts are appreciated.

Have had 1 Irish book and 3 UK books cancel account past month due to all the U.S. hoopla. All moneys returned. The wierdest thing is a couple will let you STIL play casino games/poker--just not sports wagering --?????

As for the original poster, this is exactly why the US gov't needs to regulate this stuff.

if the US gov't regulates it, it will be just as screwed up as it is now or worse

plus you will get taxed and pretty much everyone who does this for more than recreation will quit

customers becoming scared to deposit will be all that it takes for these books to become more stable and be able to demonstrate that stability

The government may get involved, or they may not. We will see. That is down the road anyway.

It still doesn't change the fact that I am scared shit right now to give my money to any of these books.

Anyone else?

I usually load up a bit now, too, but won't this season. I have what I consider a minimum in a few shops and a little extra in Pinny. That's it and I won't be opening any new ones, regardless of bonuses or contests. I withdrew any excesses already.
I am not even as excited about football season as I usually am. This whole BOS and HR4411 situation has but a damn damper on my enthusiasm for this hobby.

The way I might have to do things this year will be to withdraw my winnings each week, and if I have a losing week then just make another deposit.

The money can always sit in my Neteller account. Them, I am not worried about.

My extra withdrawals might keep costing me $15 each time, and a little aggravation, but at least I will be able to sleep at night knowing that I don't have much in my accounts.

It is sure going to be a pain in the ass, but I don't think I have a choice.

Each week I can put my money in on Friday, and take it out on Monday.

This way I can only get burned if they close up shop in the middle of the games, which I highly doubt.

bill....i think you are worried too much about this.....the new law hasn't been passed yet & don't think it will this year...& what happened with bos has nothing to do with the other books....
depositing money or withdrawing money weekly is a pain in the ass...i wouldn't play if i had to do this....

i have my money spread out over 5 books...

i'm not worried about it...

good luck with whatever you decide....

I heard that Pinny now has odds on who will be the next sportsbook to shut down and screw their players.

Problem is..........you have to hope Pinny is still around when you win.
