was there a long time ago... lay on the beach, enjoy the beautiful scenery, drink cocktails

and don't get too swept up in the local culture :weed:

have a great time!

If you are going to be there for a few days and are willing to take the time, I really recommend taking a bus trip to Ocho Rios and climbing the Dunn's River Falls. It is probably a 2-3 hour bus ride from Monetgo but I think it's worth it. The place is essentially a giant water fall with pools of water in between levels which guides help you climb. A really good time

You're better off going to the Cayamn islands or somewhere nice in Mexico. I was not impressed when I was there.

I completely second this idea. It is about a 2 hour climb that is a blast. There is a dolphin cove across the street, and shopping for the Mrs. will be much more enjoyable in Ocho Rios. Get ready for the bus ride though, I don't believe they will have the highway completed yet, so its kind of an adventure getting there. Enjoy!

I third this. We had one of our best vacations ever at Mo-Bay. Lot's of just kicking back and relaxing. Oh by the way we stayed at Sandals. Treated us very good. Enjoy.

screw the bus, hire a driver. your resort's social director/concierge should be able to hook you up. Our driver made a few stops at points of interest along the way to Dunns River, like where cessnas come in on the highway for drug runs. They put steel poles along both sides of the road so the planes can't land there anymore.

Avoid the mall o' tents. If you get stoned and wander in there you will come out with useless trinkets (like my $30 ironwood walking stick). If it's all inclusive and you are not ready to drink Red Stripe for days, then tip the bartender when he pours your first cocktail. He may "find" some better stuff on your next drink.
