Okay, the Dodgers finally lost a game today! Now, is a long losing streak right around the corner? After all, the Dodgers were a sub .500 team before they erupted. Or, will they continue to play good ball the rest of the season?

I believe the Dodgers will continue to play good ball, because I believe the Dodgers are for real! In fact, I think they are the best team in the National League. Los Angeles has a nice blend of veterans (Nomar, Kent, Furcal, Betemit, Lofton, Drew) and youngsters (Ethier, Martin, Repko). I will put the Dodgers top three starters (Penny, Maddux, Lowe) up against any NL team's top three in a 7 game series. Saito has done a terrific job as the closer! Sometimes, you can just sense that a team has what it takes to win it all, it's called chemistry. The Dodgers have it! Watch them play, they enjoy playing with each other. There are no individuals on this team. Everyone sacrifices personal accolades for victories.

Mark my words, this team has an outstanding chance to reach the Fall Classic, and if they do, it wouldn't surprise me one bit to see them take it all!

DODGERS TO WIN IT ALL +1500
Risking $1,000 to win $15,000

Management must have felt there is something there for them to pull off the Maddux trade, it seems it sent them in the right direction. They're working on all cylinders and right now a legitimate contender for it all.

I could'nt agree more..

dangerously,

Great point! I forgot to mention that. It's no coincidence that the Dodgers won 17 of 18 after acquiring Maddux and Betemit. I think they have only lost once with Betemit in the starting lineup. Management sent the right message, "We believe you have what it takes," and the team now believes as well.

I believe the Dodgers have a great chance to go to the world series but I don't think they can beat the AL representative!

my 2 cents after following this team daily:

gl, u will need it.

they are one of the top 3 teams in the nl, but that doesn't mean much.

they might be able to beat the mets, maybe if the mets pitching doesn't right itself. they will never beat the cardinals even if they are better than the cardinals because they never do beat the cardinals. its just one of those teams thats a constant roadblock for them which they cannot overcome. the cardinals single handedly ruined the career and confidence of odalis perez.

they should win the west and have an outside shot of going to the series if they get outstanding starting pitching. their bats are fine.

they aren't as good as the tigers, white sox, or yankees. they could stay competetive against the twins or red sox but probably fall short.

like i said, gl. if they get there you will have a nice hedge, but they aren't close to the best team although i wish they were.

also, i think billingsley is in their top 3 pitching and would rather him start than lowe.
