...what's the local on the Ariz St. flip-flop?!?! I know the QB is as good or better, but what about the low-down??? Do we have a split camp? What is the D&L on campus?

Please discuss. :)

edit: Don't make IE come in here and post articles either!!! We need to know the stuff the press don't get.... ;)

...just kidding, IE. I'm looking for articles too. However, the other would really be nice. :SIB

I'm hearing a LOT of the players don't like Keller b/c he's a pompous prick and would prefer Carpenter. I have no idea if or how much that played into the decision.... I just heard about Keller wanting to transfer at lunch today.

it has been reported that a few of the players went to koetter & told him they thought that carpenter won the qb battle & he should be the starter...& koetter obeyed them...just like lombardi or paul brown would have done, i'm sure.

...so, you think it's in the name of cohesion...and not division, Al?

yes....carpenter may be better than keller... but how could you respect koetter for changing his mind on the starting qb a day after naming keller...

seriously...shows weakness in terms of th head coach...if the coach is to SCARED to pick who he thinks SHOULD BE THE STARTING QB because he feels he should give it to the senior, then it takes his own players who are supposed to follow his lead not make his decisions, it takes them to tell him who thy want to be QB and h obliges...its like he needed some "back up" to tell Keller the truth, like he couldnt face him when he named him starter and tell him who he thought he knew SHOULD be starter in the young gun Carpernter...def a stain on Koetters resume if you ask m...coach couldnt tell his own player he didnt think he should start, and gave him th job for a day only because he felt it was the "right thing" and not the "right thing for the team"

I dont think it will matter at all between the two, either one is near the tops in the league. I always liked both of these guys, cause it seems that ASU has had QB injury trouble the past few years and as a fan u hold your breath when a backup qb comes into the game, but both of them have proven to be legit.

Keller is on his way to Nebraska.........Carpenter is the starter at ASU.

That will be HUGE for Nebraska.

They could really make some noise with him........as long as he stays healthy.

plain and simple, keller broke a team rule, coach koetter gave him a choice... come back to the team and be second string or be given your release..
there is a reason keller hasn't been bashing koetter.
