Are you picking the Redsox to win this game?

your pretty sharp

:joke:

Let me 1st say...

The Angels are NOT the Yankees!

I'm seeing many from the consensus sites to the forums on the net pounding against the DEAD Red Sox.

From their 1st meeting.....

Ortiz drove in four runs, helping the Red Sox rally to spoil Angels rookie Jered Weaver's attempt to become the first pitcher in 25 years to win his first eight major league starts.

....and that was the 1st time this Boston lineup saw this kid. They got him for 7 hits, 2 BB, and 3 earned.

Beckett is coming off what was probably his worst outing of the season. Beckett has also sucked ass in August through his career, and is 0-4 this month. "Average to the means" can be applied tonight and he gets a W.

Let me say, the Angels are NOT the Yankees.

Big statement game here for Boston. They had 3 statement games a bit ago and failed at each. The hangover is gone. After this series, they bury puke Seattle and Billy Dipshit in Oak and are right back into the thick of things. Good time to buy Boston stock. Lots o value in Bosotn tonight.

9-0 Weaver has been sick at home with a 1 run era. Boston supposedly is dead in the water with only 2 wins in their last 10. Beckett sucks as he's lost his last 4 and has an 8.15 era for his last 3. Angels are only 4 games back behind Boston in the loss column and playing at home yet this one opens at LAA -$145?

Doesn't move off that number and has actually dropped.

Things to remember...

LAA not too good in the scoring department.
LAA BRUTAL fielding the ball and has almost twice the errors Boston has. Boston will get some free outs tonight.
Boston hits righties very well, much better than LA.
Weaver is coming off the Puke Mariners.
LAA has the Yanks on deck.

I'm bumping my play to 20 units.

Shithead Manny will probably complain about the color of the dirt on the field and Boston will get smoked.

manny won't be playing, but i'm sure he's complaining somewhere. not about the dirt though. edison has some of the best.

pretty rag tag lineup for boston tonight.

i think lines about right.

gl on the play. i'm passing, but gun to the head i'd probably play halos, but that's why you win and i post losers that are over in the 1st inning....at least lately.

gl on your play....but I'm on Laa...some other things to consider....the 1st time Weaver pitched vs Boston was IN Boston....at that time they still had Variteck and Nixon. Loretta is also out tonite leaving only 4 players that have seen Weaver.
Beckett on the road gives up 2.5x more hrs....

Don't forget about that gas can pen I may be needing. You might have a winner.

I missed putting in a winner earlier on the Under in the TB game. So I'll may puke this game.

Some stupid capper made a comment months ago here to never expect to shit teams to go over the total. That comment stuck with me. I have found it extremely useful.

I'll remember who it was that said that when I find the lowest price Greyhound Bus tickets.

Great call IO. Ortiz goes deep in the 4th and Beckett is pitching a gem. Looks like you will win this one.

Unbelievably great call IO. Beckett gets a double play on a 2-0 pitch with runngers at first and second against Vlad Guerrero. That sealed the game right there. I should just tail all your plays. Should have bet the hosue on this one...

Yep...Beckett pitching one of the best games of his career and has hardly thrown any pitches. IO wrote the script. Should have tailed you and bet the reverse RL on the Sox. The guy is a great handicapper. Congats Intense!

The line never opened at -145. It opened at -129 and the money was split on the game and it moved to around -138 at gametime. Congrats on hitting the play but you were very fortunate slow ass Rivera got thrown out at the plate...if they had not sent him 1st and 3rd nobody out and a 2-1 game but that's the way the game is. I had very little on the game and wouldn't have bet it big either way.

you done Hog

sorry for the opening line

I generally use Don Best

that's what they had as an opening line...
Maybe you should take that up with them

BTW

I'm very glad I had a decent # on them

Better to be lucky than good. I'm sure many a capper had the easy play on the Halo's.

You conveniently missed the Boston 7th, when they had a very good opportunity to score more than one run.

But someone that had money on the Angels would.

I knew it wasn't going to be easy either way but Boston was hardly the play of a lifetime you made it out to be. It took Beckett's best outing of the year and throwing a man out at the plate on a bonehead decision by Los Angeles to barely win the game. No skin off my back for them losing but your actier holier than thou attitude and talking down to anyone who had LAA was a bit sickening. That's the only reason I have made a point out of this.

You conviently forgot the botton of the 6th when LAA had their best hitter at the plate with 1 out and runners on first and second and a 2-0 count and he hits into a double play. Like I said, I had very little on LAA...but read my other post as to why I am taking you to task on this game.
