Someones pounding a bad number at olympic

Well I bet team USA earlier at -23' I go back 4 hours later and the line now is australia -24' team usa +24'.

I e-mail olympic about the line problem and the number is dropping like a rock. down to 23 currently, well now 22. people are pounding this bad number unreal. well 21 now this all in a matter of 3 minutes.

well that was kind of them I called and probably saved them a boat load of $$$ and I dont even get a comp. WTF. I guess it doesn't pay to be honest anymore.

No I done it because bad line or not i dont think it fair to screw a book like that. I could have easily said nothing and bet aussie for double my action usa bet. but i would at least expect them to reward you for notifying them. maybe i am just stupid lol.

Books these days all got fine print that they're not responsible for typos and reversed lines. Dunno if they would've payed if you did get a bet in.

But honesty will come back for you in good karma some day. You did the right thing.

agent has a better chance of getting laid then them paying off a bad line like that.

some books give you something. i've told them of 2 bad lines in the past and spiro sent me thank you emails, but no dough. fk him.

but it doesn't matter, you will never get paid a bad line, and god forbid it loses you will lose your bet as well.

I have reported bad lines probably a dozen times in the past four years and have always been rewarded with at least a free play but you have to ask for it. Hell, I have even been permitted to make a small wager on the bad line before after reporting it.

I've notified quite a few times about bad lines. I got a quarter put into my account twice.

I think it depends on the types of mistake. If it's a glaring mistake, they aren't going to pay the "winners", so they probably just give you a thank you. If it's a smaller one, with potentially bigger problems for them, like Oklahoma playing Oklahoma State, and you have the wrong team favored by 3........that could be huge to them!

It never hurts to point it out.

If it's an obscure enough game, you might be one of a handful betting on it, and get away withit, too!

Ditto Judge--and at Oly--there have also been occasions when they would let my wager stand and correct line--however had lot to do with standard wager being only $50.
I think it helps if you have been with book lengthy time and oddsmaker are familiar with you.
I remember one in particular @ Oly where they had both win wager and place (top 4) at same odds--which was obvious error--the let $10 wager stand @ about 12/1 odds.
