Just called Citibank for getting some of our accts merged and was told I couldn't do so w/o primary cardholder (my wifes permission) approval. Got supervisor and was told the same thing again. I told supervisor my wife would be happy to give permission, call her. He said no. Then I got called stupid, and he asked me if my wife was stupid too.I got his name and extension. Now I am real pissed off. Emailed pissed off letter explaining details to CEO. Thinking of sending letter to BBB as well. Also, wondering if I should continue to do business with this company. Who the fu@k calls their customers stupid these days anyway. They must really want to be put out of business by their competitors:nono: :nono: .

you should probably email a complaint to his boss not the ceo. citibank is huge, they're not going out of business. most of these banks are terrible with customer service, everyone always says bank of america is awful too. i have had no complaints from wachovia or commerce.

I do not think BOA is awful. Actually, on the contrary, if you prefer not dealing with people directly and do most of your banking online and ATM, then BOA is the leader in that arena.

Their focus is on high-tech banking and eliminating the need for personal service. Some people may view this as bad customer support, but I like what they are doing. I have not walked into a bank in more than two years. Thank you for not requiring that of me.

For those interested, just a quick comment from someone who watches these daily: BOA CD rates are among the lowest in the country. They also make the periodic list of the credit cards least favorable for you to hold, for various reasons.

F**k these Mother F**ckers..........I've been dealing with the same local bank here in town since 1972. They kiss my ass..........they know me by my name are very polite and call me if there is any type of issue or concern. There wonderful to deal with and I can walk in there and talk direct to the manager whenever I'd like...........SO deal with a local bank. Go in and introduce yourself to the manager and tell him or her what your looking for. It's like buying a car or a house. But your going bank shopping. These c**ksuckers that don't respect you, your money or your business really piss me off.
