Al,

I like every single game on your card.... Looks SOLID! I have most of them either already played or circled on mine. Looks like we're on the same page this weekend. Best of luck! :)

p.s. A cfb pool that I am involved in...only 3 people took Wash St. (Phinfan and yours truly were 2 of the 3.) Auburn should be a fav of Joe Public this week.... Think that we're on the right side in that one.... ;)

AR - agree with you on GT as I believe ND will have two losses by the end of the month when they play Purdue.

That may be true... However, I think you will see a better secondary this year.

1.) This is the second year under the system of defensive coordinator R. Minter who has a pretty good track record.

2.) Zibby and Duke (FS and SS) played safety for the first time. I don't know how many times these two where out of position and bite on the play action.

3.) T. Lambert who came in as a five star from most prep magazines corner with 4.2 speed has finally looked good in practice and will see plenty of action tomorrow.

4.) D. Walls the number 2 ranked corner out of HS, according to rivals, will be playing a lot on Saturday, and has had great success in practice against Jeff Smardizja and Rhema Mcknight.

I think ND will have a pretty good secondary this year, however I think their run defense will be very average. Weis has traded size for speed, even moving back up RB Thomas to starting LB. They will be playing in a 4-3 defense to cover up there lack of size in the LB corp. I think strong running teams like Michigan will give ND more fits this year. Just my opinion...

Just my opinion... GL.

I think I will hop on those dogs not getting alot of points, 7-0 is tough to bet against. Thanks for the info ar182, im just curios, how do you come up with these systems ??? Im sure you will introduce the "coach with acne as a teen facing off against starting Oline unit that were voted most popular in high school, if, of course they were rated in the top 15 the last year"

In all seriousness, what are some of these newsletters that you subscribe to?

thanks guys..

stocks..

i won't say which newsletters i use unless i get paid for advertising. but feel free to e-mail me.

gw..

you're one of my favorites here therefore i won't old it against you.(lol)...

adding these plays for 2* each...

2*u 45 virg/pitts..

groh & wannstadt are former defensive coordinators & tend to be conservative in their football philosophy.

in addition virginia lost from last years team their starting qb, runner,3 offensive linemen, their top receiver, & have a new offensive coordinator. so i think they will play very conservatively.eventhough they return 6 starters from last year's team, i think they match up pretty well with the pitt. offense.

pitt is returning their experienced qb, but i read that they are lacking playmakers on offense.

i see a close low scoring game here.

2*u 52(120) usc/ark...

usc has lost from last year's offense their starting backfield & 3 offensive linemen from last year's team. i think carroll, another defensive guy, will rely on their excellent defense in the early going.

ark. is returning 19 starters from last year's team, but their offense is learning a whole new system. so i think ark.will also play conservatively in the beginning.

good luck.

rick...info doesn't mean anything if the plays lose.really disgusted with mich....i have read alot of articles about how focused they were entering this game, but they have dropped td passes, ints, & missed a field goal. vandy's pass defense is supposed to be a weakness, but mich. is not taking advantage of it.i don't know if it's because the first game of the season or because it's the same old wolverines.

added..

2*oregon-11(123)...

good luck.

i made a mistake taking utah...ucla`s the better club......my bad...

but,i`m a bit disappointed in the qb`s play....i`d heard that ratliff was pretty darned good...and that he really drove that offense.....

i`m not seeing that...i`m not seeing anything more than an average qb/athlete....

maybe i`m just catching him on an off day...

finished the week going....11-11..-1.30*

i posted earlier in the week that i think last year's record was a fluke. i really think that i'm not as good a capper as last year's record. people would be making a mistake if they followed me blindly. the reason why i post my plays is because it helps me be more disciplined in my capping. i post the systems & angles because there are some people who find it useful. it's just my way of contributing to the forum.

good luck for the rest of the year.

appreciate your comment, rick. my previous post was directed at the inexperienced/young cappers.this morning i received an e-mail from a poster ripping me & my ancestors to shreds over the michigan play..i have been called worse things in my life, so the name calling doesn't really bother me.of course it would he been nicer if he said it to my face.but what bothered me is that we don't know who is reading our posts. we don't know the age & experience of "lurkers" who read this forum . i know we have no control over others, but i would feel bad if somebody bet their "rent money" or last dime on one of my plays.

that's the general reason for my disclaimer.

thanks.

good luck.

I've gotten the same type of email in the past, puts these boards in perspective. Thanks for the sharing and the reminder, because I need it sometimes. Just goes to show that money management is the key to everything when it comes to capping, and hopefully the lurkers are not taking these posts as gold. We are not paid services, and only here to help.

Best of luck next weekend and the rest of the year, the information you post is always a big help when I am doing my research.

Great postings, AR182, you won me some serious wonton, when I had read and pounded your Nebraska play. You are a definite plus to this site. Keep the stuff coming. man and best of luck this season, though it doesn't seem you'll need it...
