These two have failed to go over in five of their last seven at Miami and this one will stay under, too. Much like the last two years, this one will be a defensive struggle and scoring will be minimal.
Last year in Tallahassee, the Noles and Canes combined to score just 26 points. Two years ago in the Orange Bowl, only 17 points were tallied. It's obvious that when this Sunshine State matchup is played early on (like, as in the season opener), the defenses are going to be ahead of the offenses. There's a reason why Miami has stayed under in four of its last five games played in the month of September.
Florida State had just nine first downs in last year's game and Drew Weatherford was extremely shakey under center. Of course, the Canes' Kyle Wright was not a whole lot better.
Miami has stayed under in seven of its last 11 at home. FSU has failed to top the final price in six of its last nine away from home.
