Apologies if I was misleading with the title of the thread. Pitt was, of course, spouting the current pro-gay marriage talking point. The article had nothing to do with polygamy.
I was just messing around because when I hear that stupid line of, "I'll marry when everyone is allowed to," I just can't help but think that the same thing could be said by pro-polygamist folks. I just think it's a lame excuse by people who really don't want to get married because of different reasons.
As far as gay adoption goes, you are absolutely right, SixFive. My heart says that every child should have a chance at both a mother and father, but in the real world I think allowing gays to adopt does more good than harm. It is interesting that you bring up the race thing, because I've noticed a booming market for adoption in Russia and Eastern Europe. Lots of Americans are going over there to get white babies so that they don't have to adopt a non-white child back home.
