Am I now officially a horrible person

Last year, maybe the year before, a kid in the local high school made a hit list, posted it on the web, made threats in person to a student, told people he was bringing a gun to school, etc...

This was some pretty hardcore stuff he was talking about, might have been all talk, but in this day and age who knows. The school suspends him pending a thorough investigation, his dad call the ACLU and they immediatly file a law suit against the school. Long story short the school finally had to settle out of court, the kid got back in school and undisclosed damages. Real piece of trash.

Just this past week he and three friends are out driving and pretty drunk (according to the report) an accident occurs they kill a woman and he is now paralized, to what extent I don't know. Don't know who was driving.

First word that came to my mind when I heard this was "Justice".

Now I am not rooting for people to get paralized, honestly, but that was my first thought

I saw this thread title, and I thought you had taken your new puppy to the pound or accidentally backed over him with your car or something (my brother did that to his favorite cat, and it sure was a traumatizing thing to him and made him feel horrible).

As far as this kid, I wish he would have been unscathed and be made to work hard labor to pay back the innocent ladies family. This doesn't make you a horrible person.

The fact that you feel remorse for it says you aren't a bad person. Someone who said it and then never gave it a second thought it might be a different story.
