I can't remember all of the comments that he made last night but most of them were way off base. :mj07:

Sexlexia...
Networks do make some interesting choices for 'special comment' guys, that's for sure.

Is it Darren Woodson on ESPN?...after the Thursday game his wrap up on the Dolphins went something like....

..."I liked what Daunte was doing early. He took what he was given. He hit a nice crossing route early. But then he made some bad throws, didn't take what he was given. So later on, he just had to remember to take what he was given, like that nice little crossing route...take waht the defense was giving him."

actually i kinda like sterling. it's not over the top and annoying like michael irvin. he's experienced (unlike woodson) and i think he has a lot to offer being a former player.

i thought he and Tirico did a great job last year for the NOR at NYG game.

infinitely better than joe theismann too.....

but i have to say, this year's MNF could be classic if kornheiser keeps prodding at the stupidity that is Joe Theismann.

in the GB/Cincy preseason game. Favre threw an INT (surprising!) and in comes Carson Palmer for his first series.....Joe says Cincy will come out throwing to get Carson back into the flow of the offense and get his confidence up after the knee surgery.
Cincy proceeds to run twice and Kornheiser asks something along the lines of "so, where were those passing plays you said were coming?"

it was classic....Joe couldnt say anything.

i hope Tony keeps on Joe and beats him down til he quits :com:
