Heading to the Ohio St./ Penn St. game next weekend. 1st time ever to this stadium, can anyone suggest a good place to park and tailgate and what time is the earliest I can get in a lot, the game is 3:30.Any other suggestions about this stadium or places to go before the game would greatly be appreciated.

Which is probably why he used the term "next" . . . errrr . . . .*next* weekend.

Geez, the Buckeyes win a big game and suddenly they talk down to everybody.

Must be a cultural thing. If on a tuesday, I say 'next' weekend, I mean in four days. That's 'next' weekend, to me at least.

My apologies to all offended, especially whiny guy. :SIB

No 'fraps' for us in CR, thank God. But I will say that that's all he talked about the whole trip, about how Starbucks canceled their promotion.

glad to see you coming town...

This is the best place to park and tailgate for people from out-of-town...

The Fawcett Center...here is a link for directions...It should cost around $10-$15 to park...its not too far from the Stadium...I would be down by 8am-9am or earlier because the lots tends to fill up fast...FYI- IN THE PARKING LOT DRINK ALL YOUR BEERS OUT OF A PLASTIC CUP...DONT DRINK OUT OF CANS AND/OR BOTTLES BECAUSE YOU WILL BE CITED FOR OPEN CONTAINERS...DONT LET THE COPS SEE YOU POUR YOUR BEERS INTO CUPS EITHER...DON'T BE STUPID AND YOU WONT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS

http://www.fawcettcenter.com/directions.asp

there are multiple places to pre-game...there are all located across the stadium on Lane Ave...Hineygate is the most popular place located at the Holiday Inn on Lane Ave...they have beers and bands before the game...there are several other tailgate venues all along Lane Ave next to the Hineygate...

If you are in town Friday Night...hit up the Arena district and Front St...Gasworks, Brothers, and Spice Bar...are all good places and since school is back in the scenery is really nice...

If you need anymore info get my email from Jack and I will be happy to help out...Enjoy the game!

Go Bucks!!!

Thanks T24, first let's clear one thing up here."THIS" weekend OSU plays Cinnci, "NEXT" weekend OSU plays Penn State.:thefinger :mj07:

T24, I somehow managed tocall around town today and actually got a room at The Red Roof Inn on Ackerman Rd, about 3/4 mile walk to the stadium. Do they allow tailgating in the hotel parking lots? Any other info on this location would be much appreciated.

Last year Cwood97 gave me some excellent info on where to tailgate at "The Bighouse".:thumb:

I know exactly where that is...its located at University Place...and its a good walk to the stadium from there buts right down (North) the road from the Fawcett Center...I don't think you would have any problem doing the tailgating at the Red Roof but I can't see it being that exciting as oppose to the fawcett Center or going down to one of the tailgating venues...hope that helps...
