Cincy (-10.5) over Cleveland
This will be a nice home game for the bengals. They come in off a game against KC where they played well but not great. The Browns travel to this contest off a lose to NO where they gave them all they had but just couldn't finish the drink. Cincy at home plays harder than average and I expect Palmer to have a very big day. The Bengals offense is far more productive than NO and the saints were able to move the ball throwing and running. This will be a dog fight and these two teams do not like each other but Cincy is the better team. Saying that this is a lot of chalk and Cleveland plays with a lot of heart but that IMOjust isn't enough to contend with Cincy.

Carolina (+1) over Vikings
Carolina is coming off being embarassed. The Panthers D-line will get a ton more pressure than the redskins did last week. Taylor looked good and so did hutchingson but the Panthers defense will look to put last weeks game out of people heads. Fox is 4-0 in week 2 and that means he will have his guys ready to play. The running game for the panthers has to get on track and not having Steve Smith is a big blow but Carolina will rebound from last week. IMO the defense will make some big plays because they are faster and more powerful than the redskins. I am also not sold on theVikings defense, Atlanta has always had a decent defense and Carolina should find more openings to make plays. Another big play is because there is a huge difference between Johnson and Vick. I don't think the D-line will have to chase Brad all over the field and that pays off in the sack department. IMO Carolina will be looking to rebound and the Vikings are getting a mad team.

Lions (+8) over Chicago
Lions defense looked good against seattle, the Lions offense left a lot of points on the table last week and they should get better. Chicago played well against GB but GB is IMO a bad team. Big reason is because the Bears left a lot of points off the score boards because they sputtered in the redzone. The lions have the skill positions, they played bad last week, but showed signs of improvement and the coaches have them playing hard. I think the bears win because they have the better defense, O-line and running game but I like the lions last week and to spot them 8 points in a nice bit of chalk for me. Considering they are a team has smart coaches, talent and speed. They just need to put it together and they should give the bears a game.

Bills (+6) over Miami
Miami let Pitt run all over them, the dolphins played well but just did not convince me. The Bills plays extremely well against the Pats but just made some big mistakes. The new pass package improves Losman as a QB and that takes some pressure off McGahee. Still the Bills need to feed Willis, let him go away from Taylor and get him on the edge. I would have loved to see more screen passes from Buffalo last week and I hope they use them more this week. With the mobility of Losman he can draw the D-line deep and pass over top to set the screen but they just didn't do it. Miami's offense has a lot of potential and I am going to need the Bills defense to step up and without Vincent that is going to be a challenge but they are fast on the ends and have good LB's. This again will be a good game but I liked the way the Bills played the better team last week. Yes the Fins played the steelers tough but that was with a backup qb. IMO Culpepper was struggling before the injury and has a lot to prove in miami, he has the talent but considering his injury and his struggles I see him as a step slow. Buffalo has to again come out and set the tempo like they did in NE, if they do that they have a shot to win this game.

Smaller plays on
Giants (+3) over Philly
Falcons (4.5) over TB

back later with the 4:00 games.

Washington (+7) over Dallas
Homer play but based on the skins not letting this get too far out of reach by blitzing Bledsoe and getting him off rythm as the Jag did last week. Washington has to pick up the slack that no having Portis causes but they can with Duckett and Betts. The Cowboys have the edge on offense and they looked better on defense last week than the skins did and Dallas and Washington both need to rebound. Raining inside the stadium and I'll be look at some sloppy play. John hall stinks so the Skins will be playing a lot of field position. Washington was able to throw deep on the cowboys last year and they need to take advantage of the money at WR. Not saying the skins win but I think they can keep it close. Suaders and Williams are still good coaches but the redskins have to play better. This is always a heated game and unless the skins kill themselves they can make a game of it and possible come away with the win. Cooley will need to have a big game underneath because the WR will be looking to go deep. Time for Saunders 700 plays to get tested and see if they hold water. The redskins CB need to play better and I expect they don't shut Dallas down but they make it harder than they played last week.
