i can't stand him. WHy do they hire him for Espn? He agrues over nothing and will defend his personal friends no matter what the reality is. The worst part is everyone else on the show, actually treat him he has something informative to say. Does any1 hate him as much as me. How is he on the show? DIdn't he get caught with tons of hookers and blow.
He thinks he is as smart as a head coach, when he is really is dumb as dirt. I don't care what u did for the hurricanes. Just another "receiver" who thinks he is something more than 4.4 speed.
There are too many guys on that show anyway. Get rid of him

Yea I hate to listen to him and will not. If he is on I change the channel. He is the epitome of what is wrong this society today. I guess it is cool to be a black convicted crack user whether it be in the music world or sports announcer. I guess they are good role models for our children. Can not stand the idiot! :director:

I'm a cowboy fan and loved his passion for the game. But listening to his mindless drivel on ESPN has made me hate him. Why did they get rid of Sterling Sharpe?

BTW - If I have to listen to Shannon Sharpe stumble through one more highlight film I'm going to puke. Do networks audition these athletes before they sign them. The guy speaks a language I have never heard before...

Hate listening to Irvin........that is what society has created today. The epitome of thugdumb. But somehow that Tom Jackson gets under my skin more so. Blowhards both.
ESPn has a trifecta of chit if you add Stephen A to the list. I refuse to listen to any of them.

It really undermines the credibility of the network in my mind to have that guy in place. He offers nothing of value, on the broadcast, or in his radio spots with Dan Patrick, etc. Would personally like to see someone like Jaworski get that kind of air time in the prime time slots, and not as just a part time film reviewer. He embarrasses Irvin every time they tangle, and actually brings something to the table. There have to be some decent "flavorful" characters out there that would at least be able to show some character and stay out of the way of the others. There are very few ex-players that can make the transition. I love Tom Jackson...but I think the way the network shows have progressed it undermines everything when allowing equal footing for all four people on the shows.

Give me Fox with those four, and I am good. Bradshaw is a little hard to take at times, but he is crazy like a Fox. There are some real tidbits in his act that are worthy. Howie is solid and sharp with the jibes, and Johnson is right on most times.

They should tell irvin the next he wears non-earth toned suit he will be kicked off the show. IT will only take one taping before he is gone.

he's even worse tonight. He can't hardly keep his eyes open!! ESPN should spring for a $7 drug screen and dip his urine every week.

Could start a long list of the people who dont belong. Is there anybody that likes theisman? Anyone not sick of Berman? Good lord, Stuart Scott?

i hate theismann worse, but not a fan of irvins by any means. i might be the one person in america who likes stuart scott. i can get past the eye. don't ask me why i like him, can't put a finger on it.

as per your post, i couldn't agree about the role model thing more. how about ice-t. that poser that acts on the law and order with a bunch of letters after it. didn't he write songs about killing everyone, and then in his solo group body count writes a hit single cop killer. i mean do these networks EVER screen anyone?
