my 2 cents

my 2 cents

yanno, usually I only want an annoucer to not bug me ... tirrico is solid but Corny is a joke, and listen to Joe T. he spouts same cliches week after week, he never says anything relevant to educate ... his stuff like, "hey tall receivers make it easier for a QB if he makes a mistake" is just noise ...

people might have hated Dennis Miller, but my take was he could make me laff out loud 5xs a night, after that who cares ... the rest of them, 95% of hoops and fball annoucners, are excess baggage ...

I challenge all of you to listen to everything they say tonight and see if you truly have learned anything more about the game ... most of us have watched fball for 10-50 years, and these guys arent gonna teach us older guys much anymore--so just dont be obnoxious and I am happy

My volume went off for about 10 min. and it was nice just watching them play,

then volume came back, so I'll just mute it

See, that's the problem...be it football or any other sport, the announcers treat the viewer as if this is the first time he/she has viewed a game...i.e. John Buck...talk about not learning a damn thing from your dad.

the networks are trying to find that magic announcing team but keep rolling out ass-clowns for entertainment value who offer no actual football insight

if they want viewers to actually watch BECAUSE of the announcers then get some actual analysts who can break the game down and it might get you more viewers (steve stone comes to mind in mlb, guy always called the play before it happened)....after listening to jaworski and vermiel last monday night, NOBODY IN THE BUSINESS COMES CLOSE to analysis and critical commentary......will those two ever be in a booth again?

doubftul

we'll continue to get dumbed down analysis from madden...."boom, that right there is a touchdown al and it's also worth 6 points"...third and 6 jon and this is a "Youge" play.....as opposed to true analysis

Was impressed with those two as well, kept me entertained in a game that was an absolute blowout. It won't be this season, but would like to see them in the booth again at some point, the commentary on lineplay and breakdown in schemes was a great element.

If I heard about Big Ben's accidents once, I heard it a 1000 times.

And what was with the diagrams of his appendix. Good grief.
