here is a list that i've reviewed where Home team giving excessive points:

Army+27'...A&M has a weak defense which means Army can score points

Western Mich+9.....Va. might win but not by 9

Tulane+11....Miss. St. is beat up pretty bad and Tulane throws the ball to score 10 to 12 points at least

Vandy+5' is a home team who should be given Arkansas 3 points

Navy+3....no comment don't want to offend the Standford cronies

Buffalo+23..conference game should be close

Troy+???anything above +9..this team has 2 more road games after Ga. Tech this week, Nebraska and UAB. I believe they are battle tested and Georgia Tech will have their hands full with the offense...think this will be a high scoring event.

watch this team at home and on the road... i believe they will win the rest of games after UAB which will make them BOWL eligble with 7 games.

I cant figure out how Ark can be 6pts over anyone at this point. Scares me as I feel as though I must be missing something here.

Something to consider is Miss State/Tulane Under 39

State has the worst offense in the nation thus far (hasnt scored a single point this entire season during 2 home games). But has a solid defense (ranked in top 30 in nation if i am not mistaken & managed to hold K. Irons to 69 yards in 21 carries last week vs top ranked auburn).
Tulane has only put up 14 points this season to D's that are arguably not as good as States. And there defense should be able to hold states MISERABLE offense to a low enough score.
Trends also support the play:
Last 2 meetings have gone UNDER total
Only 2 of last 7 home games at State have gone OVER the total.
I will play UNDER 39. GL either way all

this week i'm starting with totals where the opening line appears off substantially.

two games :

Texas A&M/Louisana Tech..OVER 59 should be high 70s

same scenario from last week ...A&M has NO DEFENSE almost lost to ARmy and gave up 24 points. This week playing La. Tech, who also has NO DEFENS with only 3 returning starters and 8 offensive starters.
These two teams should cover 70% of the spread in the 1st half.
The sharpies, possibly, will be on this later in the week and could push the total to 63 or more .

Busy State/Hawaii..UNDER 63'....expect low 50's

June Jones can't beat Boise State but will keep within a respectable number and play DEFENSE to keep the ball out of their hands...it's that simple.....if not and he tries to go up and down the field ..Mr. Jones will get his ass handed to him .
Don't look at past years totals. Hawaii does not have the offense as in the past. Hawaii does not fare well on the road.

Dogs getting points and should cover:

South Florida +5'....Kansas=F-Troop on both sides of the ball.

Oklahoma State+1..Big 12 vs Conference USA..i'll take the strong conference

Have 4 more and will post later in the week.

Be careful and don't get sucked in on Wisky this year. play only if you get 24 points against Michigan in my opinion. don't expect a letdown this week from Michigan.

. Hawaii does not have the offense as in the past. Hawaii does not fare well on the road.

i think you have the right play (under) simply because hawaii seems to lose a step on the road and both teams have better defenses than theyre given credit for.

but to say hawaii doesnt have the same offense in the past is nuts. theyre offense is stacked, with brennan having a chance to be just as good as chang and bess having a chance to be every bit as good as lelie.

number will probably go up just because its boise and hawaii, but i think youre on the right side there.

have a good week joe. good to see you around man

So. Cal
Im going to join you Joe on the boise st under, when that line came out it was surprisingly high, and I think the defenses are underated as well. The one thing that worried me was Hawaii's D against the run and they are giving up under 100ypg so far, which is what killed Ore St chances against Boise St.

Will probably make this a half unit play but I like it. GL with the rest of the plays!

gman, good your back handicapping the very dfificult and manical MAC conference. I always enjoy your overviews.

Just another thought:
Hawaii's QB Colt Brennan is a prize!
However, he's prone to throwing way too many intereceptions which leads me to believe June Jones will play closer to a ground game with Boise.

Have profitable season!
