Northwestern @ Nevada... At first glance, the road dog looks very tempting. You have a Big 10 team getting 6.5-7 points on the road. Northwestern has given up just 3 points to Miami-Ohio and 6 points to E. Michigan (EMU scored 20 against Michigan State). However, the Mildcats got beaten 34-17 by New Hampshire?!?! That is Div I-AA NHU... Northwestern has serious QB issues as neither freshman Kafka or Brewer has thrown the ball worth a damn. Kafka has played for more, but the two QB's have combined for 1 TD pass in their first 3 games. Tyrell Sutton has done his thing for Northwestern gaining 253 rushing yards. I expect a well coached team like Nevada to stack 8-9 guys in the box and force Northwestern to beat the Wolfpack through the air.
On the other hand, Nevada's Rowe lit up Colorado State like a Christmas tree last week going 19 for 22 with 210 yards passing and 2 TD's. I prefer going with the well balanced offensive team that is winning better than a hot stock tip @ home in recent years (Wolfpack are 12-2 ATS in Reno their last 14 home games!!!). Nevada held Colorado State to 177 total yards of offense last week and I expect the Wolfpack defense to play much better at home.
Prediction: Nevada 31-16
Nevada -6.5 for 7.5*
