The talk at West Point is for army not have have a letdown after there almost upset of Texas AM.Army came so close with 9 seconds left and the ball on the 4 yd line. Ross made a bonehead call and ran the ball with 2 downs left and no timeouts.AM stuffed the back at the line od scrimmage and game was over...one of the worst calls I have ever seen.Try a pass on 3rd down,then with the clocked stopped and the ball on the 4 yd line..pass or run your trick play.Ross's son made the call as the Off Cord.But you would think dad would over ride it..oh well..I had AM -27 so what the hell am I talking about.
Pevoto the Army QB is bad.In 3 games he hasn't thrown a TD yet.He has 7 ints.Army defense did a great job vs AM offense.But Baylor defense is very good compared to AM.BU Def line should be able to stop Army's rushing attack.BU has excellent DB's led by Wilson.Lyr year BU beat Army 20-10 at the point.Army's offense lyr was much better.
BU Qb Bell will break the all time passing record today with 4,000 yds. He can throw and run.BU's WR are big and athletic even though they are having problems holding the ball.There 6'2,6'3 and 6'4. OL in HUGE..Center is 6'2 and the rest are 6'5,6'6 and 6'7.Bell will have protection.Mosley there running back didn't play..last week. think he has a big game.
BU lost to TCU in a close game.Held Wash St to hardly any rushing yds and lost on a a FG with a few seconds left.
BU wins this 23-10,24-7...and covers. Army is making its 2nd trip to Texas in 6 days.I see a let down..BU defense stops Army..
Akron Zips -17 over North Texas ****
NT has zippo offense. Zippo Qb. Zippo Rb's,double zippos OL.Probaly one of the worst in the nation.Dickey subs 7-10 guys in the OL. They cannot open any holes what so ever. An NT runs the ball..not a passing team.They gained 27 yds rushing vs Tulsa last week. They had a total of 87 yds on offense.Other then the 2nd half vs Smoo they have 2 rushing 1st downs in 3 games.and again NT is a running team.Dickey has Wilson as his qb who rolls out and can run.The 2 NT beat writers said this week" dickey will never change his offense. he will try to run the ball up the middle..But with no OL everyone put 7 or 8 guys up on the block.Zips DL is pretty good. They did a good job stopping Penn St attack.
Zips have the top Qb in the MAC in Getsey.They avg 370 yds a game on off.They have a poor running game but vs NT DL they might get a lot of yardage. Nt will be so worried about Zips passing attack there should be a lot open holes today.
Zips can zip NT today. Cannot see NT scoring more then 7-10 pts.Zips playing 1st home game..Zips did beat NC St at there place but lost l-week to Cen Mich.My "mean green" aren't mean anymore.
I remember back in 1970 or '71 Akron came to Denton.I was there. We were so over confident..Akron Zips..who the hell are they...and they kicked our ass.I remember the roster..the entire team came from Ohio...Not even sure if they were a D-1 back then...same today...Zips win.

my best bet.With all the injuries i don't think it means anything. It's petrino's system.Defense is solid.looked what it did to the Canes.Cantwell replace one..Smith and Strip the others.This is one solid team. cats are over there heads.
Tulsa +5.5 over Navy ***
I think Tulsa's offense will outscore navys.Tulsa defense better but hopefully no one is saying " look what they did to NT rushing attack".Navy is having problems with passing the ball even though they are on top of NCAA in running. Tulsa will make Navy throw... and navy hasn't proved they can..

My son is a junior at ECU.He told me Terry Holland the AD sent out 2 e-mails to all the ECU students about there behavior at todays game since its on ESPN. At the UAB game last week the student body was a little out of hand.But the letter backfired. My son said everyone will be worse now.I told him he better be respectful.And I'm sure after about 5 or 6 of those jello hits and beer he'll listen.
WV is loaded but lyr ECU lost 20-15 at WV as 22 pt underdogs.I think this game goes over.Pickney is good and he has Allison who is the best WR on the field.ECU offense I think will score a few Td's. But ECU defense will not be able to stop WV's.
I don't play to many over-unders but I can see this score 48-27 or maybe 55-7.
I'll come back later for a few nite games.
Next week I will have a life long dream come true.Back in June at my daughters wedding in Austin it was the nite before at the hotel bar.One of my families friends who is a Holy cross brother heard my best friend and I talk about things we have never done. I said I always wanted to go to Wrigley Field and see a Cub game and go to a Notre Dame game.Well Brother R. overheard the conversation without us knowing. he is a graduate of ND and called his buddy Father Hessburgh[former pres of ND] Well 3 weeks ago 2 tickets to next weeks Purdue-ND came in the mail.Not sure where Section 128 is but I'm in row D and next saturday at 2.30 I'll see for the 1st time ND play football.
On friday we are buying tickets to the Rockies-Cubs game..Sometimes dreams really come true...
