NFL Season Record updated: 21-16-2

Back to reality last week after going 10-3 in week one. I have many leans but will get things started with this play.

Under 42.5 Philly/SF Very Strong Play Loss

I'm not sold on SF and their new and improved offense. The Eagles will be the toughest D they have faced thus far. The 49's showed their improved defense last week against the Rams. The Eagles are 7-3 under in Sept,11-2 under their last 13 Sept road games, and 20-10 under off a division loss.

Good Luck Gentlemen....

Detroit -6.5 strong play Loss

Pretty simple. Green bay has no defense. The Lions might score the 40 points Roy Williams was talking about a couple weeks ago. Detroit is 16-6 ats at home after scoring 10 points or less, 32-18-1 ats after allowing 30 or more point and 27-14 ats after a loss by 15 or more points. The Packers are 10-22 ats on the road after passing for over 250 yards during Mr. Farves tenure.

more to come....

Colts -6.5 (-115) strong play Win

One would have to assume the Jags are a bit beat up after that very physical Monday night contest. Third straight tough game. The difference is , now they go on the road. Jax is 6-17-1 ats off of 2 SU wins and 6-14 ats if their opponent is off 2 SU wins. The Colts are now 16-4-1 ats in Sept and 11-3 ats off of 2 straight covers.

Good Luck Gentlemen...

Steelers pk (-120) strong play Loss

I thought this line might drop down to a pk. Once I found it at 1, I bought a point. Been looking at this one since Tuesday. Many trends favor the home team in this tilt. Pitt is 24-11-1 ats at home after scoring 10 points or less and 42-20-1 ats after allowing 10 points ore less. The Steelers are 10-2 SU their last 12 vs the AFC North. The Bengals have been on a nice road ats record, but are just 2-14 ats after a win of 15 points or more.

Under 35 Chi/Minn strong play PUSH

In a word, Defense. Chicago has given up a whole 7 points thur two games, while Minny has allowed no more than 16 points in their first two contests. This total opened at 33 for good reason. I see plenty of ground control as this will be the toughest game for Chicago thus far. Time of possession will most likely make the difference.

Looking at two more.....

Over 37.5 Wash/Houston above avg play Win

Mark Brunell (no touchdown passes) + Houston D ( ranked last in the league vs the pass) =bombs away ! Portis claims to be healthy and he is the difference. I look for Mark to go off today now that he has his stud Rb in the lineup. He's no Peyton Manning, but come on.... I might be able to throw for 300 yards against the Texans. Houston seems to be on the verge of getting that offense on track. One side note, the Texans are 12-5 over the total after scoring 17 points or less in back to back games.

Still looking at a strong lean for toinght...

Good Luck Gentlemen...

St. Louis +5 above avg play Win

Went against the Rams last week as their ats record on grass/road is horrible. Going up against Arizona is a different story. The Rams are now 11-2 ats their past 13 the week after playing Sf. The Cardinals are 5-15 ats their past 20 Sept games.

2nd half

2nd half

Under 20 Philly/Sf regular play Loss

The eagles won't quit on D like they did last week. With the big lead most likely they will keep the ball on the ground and run clock. I hope.....SF showing nothing on offense.

Sunday Night

Sunday Night

been an up and down day.... Hope to finish it on a winning note.

Denver +7.5 (-120) Very Strong Play Win

NE getting plenty of support at the window. You never know what to expect with Jake Plummer at the helm, but I do know this....The Broncos are 14-4 ats the last 18 vs NE, 10-2 ats before their last 12 before a bye and 22-11 as a dog since 1999. As stellar as the Patriots have been over the years they are just 24-31-2 ats as a non-div favorite.(12-22 their past 34). Bought the hook just in case This will be my largest wager of the day.

Mostly down for me today. Went in on all 3 and did a 6 teamer with the Lions. Wouldn't you know...hit all of them except for the Freakn' Lions. Hoping to rebound tomorrow.

Bengals and Skins were the plays today and I parlayed both...Lions were not...salt!
