2006 NFL Regular season breakdown:

BIG Plays 3-0!

Medium size plays: 2-2

small size plays: 2-4-1

(Teasers 3-2, Sides 4-4-1)

Another somewhat tough week but I played this teaser for a medium size play:

3 game 10 point teaser
Colts +0.5
Vikings +11.5
Chargers +7.5

Colts +0.5?The Colts continued their early season success by disposing of the Jaguars and are now 3-0?their opponent ? the Jets are a surprising 2-1 on the season?but?their two wins over Tennessee and Buffalo were hardly quality wins?they are still a team that lacks a dependable running game and a team that?s a WIP?the Jets secondary made Bills QB J.P. Losman a 300 yard passer last week?this week they go up against a QB from Indy that?s just a bit better than Losman (last time I checked)?Indy is 10-0 SU and 8-2 ATS in their last 10 as a road favorite and 6-1 ATS in their last 7 in October?the Colts have already played a game in this stadium in their week #1 win over the Giants?and?don?t worry about the Eric Mangini (former Pats DC) angle in this one because the Colts hung 40 points on Mangini?s Patriots defense last season in a 40-21 road romp? I love the way they matchup against the Jets in this one.
Indianapolis 27 NY Jets 17

Vikings +11.5?The Vikings enter Buffalo fresh off a loss to their arch rival the Bears in a game in which they could easily have won?this week they face a Bills team that came down to earth last week in their loss to the Jets?however for some reason the Vikings (a much better football team) are 1.5 point underdogs?this game may be close?.but even if the Bills find a way to win?they won?t cover the 11.5 that I?m getting in this teaser.
Minnesota 20 Buffalo 16

Chargers +7.5?The well rested 2-0 Chargers travel east to Baltimore this week to face a Ravens team that is undefeated but very lucky to be so as the Brownies actually outplayed them last week?I feel the Ravens offense will struggle mightily against a Chargers Defense that is one of the 5 best in the league?Ravens Hb Jamal Lewis is a big plodding back that no longer has the home run ability that he had earlier in his career and the Ravens offense lacks a big time playmaker at this time?on the flips side?the Chargers offense will be facing a Ravens ?D? that is also one of the top 5 in the league but the Ravens may be without an important part of that ?D? this week because DE Terrell Suggs hurt his hammy last week and will be questionable at best?the Chargers offense has playmakers in HB Tomlinson and TE Gates?all in all?I really like the Chargers in this one? especially getting more than a TD in what should be a low scoring defensive battle?Note ? The Chargers are 4-1 ATS after the BYE under Marty?and I?m not worried about the Chargers having to travel out east and play an early 1:00pm game because they did so last season and went 3-1 SU which could have been 4-0 had they not blown a lead in Phiily.
San Diego 17 Baltimore 16

I'll be adding a couple more later.

Adding this small play for this week.

2 game 6 point teaser
Kansas City Chiefs -1
&
Carolina Panthers -1

KC-1?The Chiefs are 3-1 ATS in their last 4 off the bye and should be well rested as they face a Niners team that is improving? but will be a sitting duck in Aerohead on the road?I expect Larry Johnson to run wild against a poor Niners run defense while the KC defense and loud home crowd will force Alex Smith into turning the ball over... the Chiefs are also 11-4-1 ATS in their last 16 in Oct while the Niners are a poor 1-5 ATS in their last 6 in Oct. Home Cooking prevails!
Kansas City 26 SanFrancisco 16

Caro-1?The Panthers have double revenge on a Saints team that is coming off of a HUGE emotional win over the Falcons on MNF?this game is played on emotion and I don?t see how the Saints could match the intensity level that the team played with on Monday Night?plus this is a HUGE must win for the Panthers because if they drop this one to the Saints they will be 3 games behind them in the standings?Carolina dominated the Bucs on the road last week but turned the ball over three times in the 3rd quarter and had to come from behind for the win?Steve Smith is back for the Panthers which will force the Saints to roll the coverage his way and open things up for Keyshawn and the rest of the Panthers offense?the Saints beat the Panthers in Carolina 23-20 in 05 and 21-16 in 04 but are in a tough spot because of MNF to make it 3 in a row.
Carolina 27 New Orleans 17
