Wow - Those defensive rankings are very impressive until you see who they have played. Let's see...

UL-Lafayette
Arizona
Auburn
Tulane
Miss. St.

They sure have played some offensive juggernauts.

I agree with your smart-ass reply. My post was simply a correction of Dupay's post claming LSU D is ranked #26. I noted in my post that this ranking means nothing, and has no bearing on the outcome of this matchup

LSU OG, Will Arnold, looks like he will be unable to go Saturday. As I have mentioned several times in the past, the LSU OL lacks depth. Herman Johnson will likely fill in for Arnold. Johnson is a mountain of a man, but his footwork leaves plenty to be desired. The LSU ground game is a concern to begin with. Losing Arnold wil hurt this team @ the swamp.

There is also a revenge factor for FLA, since LSU has won the last 2 meetings overall, and the last 2 meetings in the Swamp.

At full health, I would be playing LSU this weekend. The banged up LSU OL will likely keep me from investing in this game.

if the officials that did the AUBURN game call this game who knows? FLA's spread offense is not what I thought it would be. Leak is not the passer that this system needs. Fla's leading rusher is mikely out and leading d lineman (second offense substance abuse) is out. LSU's defense is amazing and will shut down FLA. LSU wins a close ball game 13-10

13-10 ? I was thinking this would be a high scoring game. Will have to look at this one again because I was thinking taking the over in this game.

Florida wins by 10.

1. Russel will choke as usual in a big game.

2. LSU lost to the only team they have played with a winning record.

3. Les Miles is awful.

4. LSU has zero running game.

finally, someone with some sanity. it seems to me that ever since the shallacking of Miami in the Peach Bowl last year, everyone has been all over LSU. Couple that with Jamarcus having an unbelievable passing performance against lowly Mississippi St, and you have the basis for this unwarranted Bayou Bengal lovefest.

This game is in the Swamp. Les Miles is still the coach. Also, Gators have Reggie Nelson. Enough said.
