Whats your opinion on the the lsu game this weekend i was expecting to see you on them.
LSU has defeated Fla 2 straight, and 3 of 4 in the Swamp. I expect FLa to be up bigtime to regain their home mojo. LSU D is ranked #1 in the naton. The LB play has been spectacular. I mention the LB play because I did not expect a great season out of this group. #48 Darry Beckwith has played out of his mind. Still, LSU has played limited competition, and only once on the road. The Aub game was played too close to the vest by both coaching staffs. This led to domination by both defenses. I am not sure what to expect defensively out of LSU this weekend. I will say that DC Pelini has my every confidence and a great performance is cleary not out of the question.
I definitely bleed purple and gold, but the reality is LSU OL has SEVERE depth concerns. Despite an otherwise wonderful job of recruiting, Saban only signed a combined 5 Off linemen in his last 3 recruting classes. Will Arnold, the lone All America candidate, is out this weekend. Brian Johnson is back from injury and will start at RG, which means backup Herman Johnson will slide over to LG. Playing on the road with a patchwork OL, 2 RB's off injury--neither of which has shown they are near 100%--, is not a recipe for victory. True frosh RB Scott and FB Hester will likely get get the bulk of the carries.
If LSU is to win this game, it will take a strong road effort out of Russel(17-3 as a starter). Despite his choke at the end of the Aub game this season, Russel has been a terrific performer n crunch tme, leading LSU to last minute road victories at ASU LY, and FLa 2 seasons ago.
I would not be surprised if FLA regains their home field edge tomorrow. No play for me.
