Tonight's game in the Bronx will stay under as this will be a tight, low scoring postseason game at Yankee Stadium. New York starter Chien-Ming Wang pitches his best there as he had a 3.03 ERA in 17 home starts this year, 12 of which stayed under the final price. His hard sinker is nasty and he'll contain this Tiger outfit that ranked just seventh in the AL this year in runs scored. Detroit is not playing well of late and will not score much in Game 1.
The Tigers do have Nate Robertson starting and he was solid on the road this year. He has a 3.47 ERA in 15 highway starts, 10 of which stayed under. Back on Aug. 30 Wang and Robertson engaged in a pitcher's duel in what ended up as a 2-0 Yankee win. The Tigers have one of the top bullpen's in baseball and they'll do their share in keeping New York off base. The Yanks of course have Mariano Rivera. Wang will be on his game and runs will be at a premium this evening as this game stays
