Don't know how many Kurds there are in Iraq but they been paying for airtime on TV thanking us--course you prob won't see that on cnn.

Maybe you can show us this poll where 68% want our soilders killed--???

I'd be curious where your digging up this bs at.

I've seen the ads. Good for them. Who gives a f*ck if the 'Kurds' thank us? Who cares about them, period? Is this worth it?

Face the nation Sunday had that poll. ABC followed up with that report Monday. I agree Kurds want us their at least most do to help protect them. Seems if they need us their tp protect them from their own country men . We have not gotten past the same thinking of Saddam. THe other number mention and been thrown around so much no one knows witch is right. But 35000 to40000 Iraqis died by the hands of there own just last 10 months. WE just have to understand things are not Rose's there after almost 4 years. Starting to remind me more how to many put there hands over there eyes like in late 60's and early 70's.

I care a lot about what the kurds think.

1st its nice to have someone be thankful we are sticking our necks out for them.

2nd The worse case scenerio I can see when dust settles in Iraq if all else fails--is U.S. presence in Kurdish area similiar to Kuwait.

Kurds have done great jobs keeping foreign terrorist out--with practically 0 bombers or skirmishes--actually are having more concerns about the turks

--DJV wasn't the #s I was questioning it was the hope our troops are killed I had prob with.

Would say the #'s would be reflective of where they are polling. I would find it hard for military there to have such good attitudes if they population gave them indication of that.
Remember in our day when papers were saying civilians wanted us out--but the opposite was obvious if you were there and after millions were slaughtered after we left you still couldn't get media to acknowlegde their wanting us to stay-like they were looking forward to the masscrae that followed :(

I have seen all the polls except 1 and every pole is the same so Dog what is Fox telling you? Are they trying to shovel you shit about how wonderful it is over there or are they sstill trying to tell you that John Murtha is a disgrace to america. Now your conservative buddies one by one are finally growing some balls and saying what he has for two years. Will the attack dogs at Fox trash these republicans or are their two many of them.

Kurds represent only 6 million of the 28 million people in Iraq. Yeah, 68% is very believable.

DTB is right about Nam. Guys it was about it was taking to long and American pepole crew tired of it. But the out come was wrong in Nam on how we left. And it was partly to blam on bad info and government not paying attetion to some of there generals. It was not are soldires fault. We new how to change it all but just didn't do it. That is what I meant DTB about now. Were going same direction. We need to throw Rummey out the dor. Lets either do this one right. And get the hell out. But this time the right way. Set more of there own in charge. Make sure the 275000 we have trained are doing the right job. Finish traning the last 25000. Get it done in 8 to 12 months and were done. If they don't want us there we need to understand that. If kURDS want us to keep small force in there area find do it.
