Ahoy.

A tough week lies ahead, matey.

Gonna try to weather the storm....

TENNESSEE TITANS & INDIANAPOLIS COLTS -19

Yummy. Nothing like a large spread.
The 0-4 Titans make a trip the 4-0 Colts. Staying perfect wasn't that easy last week as Indy beat the JETS in the final minute. Colts Rushing "D" ranks 28th but can't possibly see the Titans even coming within 3 TDs.
Titans are 3-12 ATS in division play, 5-13 ATS off a SU loss & 4-12 as pups of 6+ pts.
Colts are just 11-24 ATS as division HFs & the VISITOR is 14-5 ATS in Indy games.

The last 3 times these teams met, the Colts dominated them by scores of...33-7, 51-24 & 35-3

COLTS or stay clear

-------------------------------------------

WASHINGTON @ NEW YORK GIANTS -4

The bye for the 1-2 Giants couldn't have came at a better time, after brutal efforts vs. Indy, Philly & Seattle. Against the Seahags they were never in that game as they trailed 42-3 in the 4th.

'Skins "O" has rsien from the ashes with an eye-popping 488 ypg over the last 2 weeks, which includes 481 vs that Jags "D" (Brunell was 24-of-57 & 3TDs)

You would have to be
speechless-smiley-004.gif
Nsane to give 4 to the Redskins.

Played - The NEW YORK GIANTS -4

-----------------------------

DETRIOT LIONS @ MINNESOTA VIKINGS -6.5

Vikings "D" has looked impressive holding the last 10 of their 11 opponents below 20 pts. Lions "D" on the otherhand doesn't impress.
Vikings are a highly decent play covering 10-of-13.

Lions lost first division RG 34-7

Straight up winner is 19-1 ATS in Viking games.

LEAN VIKINGS -6.5

--------------------------

TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS @ NEW ORLEANS SAINTS -6.0

At 0-3 TB is another team that really needed their bye week. They rank 32nd in both rushing "O" & "D".

Saints are 2-16 ATS play as division HFs of more than 5 pts

Bucs are 1-11 ATS away off a pair of losses.

PASS

----------------------

ST. LOUIS RAMS -3.0 @ GREEN BAY PACKERS

Packers are 5-1 ATS at home off a Monday nighter

Dog is 6-1 ATS play in Rams games

PASS

--------------------

MIAMI DOLPHINS @ NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS -9.5

Dolphins continue to struggle withtheir 16th ranked "O" & Culpeppers 20 sacks.

Miami is 2-8 as a diviision RD

New England is 16-6 ATS as division Favorite

Visitor is a perfect 6-0 ATS in Pats regular season games

PASS

------------------

BUFFALO BILLS @ CHICAGO BEARS -10.5

Bears are now a perfect 8-0 as regular season hosts, allowing only an amazing 5.5 ppg.

Bears are 16-5 ATS hosting the AFC & series host is a perfect 6-0 ATS.

Bills counter with 14-7 ATS on the NFC road & 9-2 as a pup of 4+ pts vs the NFC.

LEAN DA BEARS OR NUTTIN HONEY

-------------------

CLEVELAND BROWNS @ CAROLINA PANTHERS -9.0

Panthers haven't covered a spread yet this season & they probably won't here.

LEAN BROWNIES + 9.0

-----------------

NEW YORK JETS @ JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS -7.0

Jags first hoster since whitewashing the Steelers on Monday Night. Their 3rd ranked "D" should contain the JETS.

JETS are 1-7 ATS on the non-division road, & 2-11 ATS off ceding 28+ pts.

JAGS are a perfect 4-0 ATS in the series.

Played - the JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS -7

------------------

KANSAS CITY CHIEFS -3.0 @ ARIZONA CARDINALS

Chiefs fans celebrate a WINNER !!!

Chalk in Chiefs games are 8-3-1 ATS.

KC is one of the better Oct plays, and now is 13-4 ATS in this month of late.

AZ is 1-9 ATS as a pup of more than 3 pts vs the AFC

Played - the KANSAS CITY CHIEFS -3

------------------

OAKLAND RAIDERS @ SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS -3.5

ECKY POO-POO

-----------------

DALLAS COWBOYS @ PHILADELPHIA EAGLES -2.5

Game was off the board last I checked.

---------------

PITTSBURGH STEELERS @ SAN DIEGO CHARGERS -3.5

Haven't peeked as of yet but first instinct is SD but the hook is bit bothersome.

---------------

Monday Nighter

BALTIMORE RAVENS @ DENVER BRONCOS -3.5

Quickly the RAVENS are 5-0 ATS vs Broncos

Broncos are 14-4 ATS off a bye

LEAN IS ON DENVER

well

well

Can SanFran be compared to the Cards?

I think -3 is a steal for KC. Granted they are on the road this time, but still....Is -3 considered a trap or is that line right about on?

Also love that Colts stat against the Titans.

Assuming NE wins, wouldnt this be a good 10pt teaser:

Auburn -5.5
NE- 0
KC +7

Thx Senor Capper for the weekly writeups, love reading em.

"the bunker"
i like the bills in this spot.....i see a huge letdown for da` bears this week....off their huge national t.v. bludgeoning...

matter of fact,as blasphemous as it is to say it in your thread,i`m leaning toward the cards +3...i`ll wait until later to see if i can get a hook....

i think that with the bears and the "chieves" throwing down high 30`s and low 40`s last week, the usual follow-up...at least from my perception(not statistically),is that a clunker may be coming on offense for these clubs........

i think buffalo with around 11 is a crazy line...

but,g.l. s.c....you`ve been consistently solid.....

Copied & pasten analysis' on...

Tennessee (+19) over INDIANAPOLIS
Yeah, the Colts can and maybe should crush the Titans and cover this spread. But the Titans should score just enough points against the poor defense of the Colts to cover this spread. Expect at least 7 of those points in garbage time when the Colts have the big lead and just don't care anymore. Plus there is no way the Tennessee players can look at this 19 point spread and not take it as an insult and personal challenge. Finally, how many times do you get to take 19 points in an NFL matchup? We are taking the points on general principles. Indianapolis, 31-17.

=======================

Detroit at MINNESOTA (Under 40)
Minnesota has a new offensive system in place this year. It's call the 'Prevent Offense'. In other words their offense can't score points. The most they have managed this year has been 19 points. Overall they have scored but 63 points in 4 games. Helping to keep Viking games boring is their defense which is actually pretty decent, being ranked 11th in the NFL against the run and 14th against the pass. The Lions are once again the Lions this year with their 0-4 record coming into this game. Overall the Lions offense has managed 71 points in those 4 games. The Lions defense has been terrible thus far, ranked 26th overall in the league. But don't forget that their defense will be going up against the 'Prevent Offense' of the Vikings. Plus, new Vikings head coach Brad Childress loves for his team to run the ball and he will stick with that philosophy again this week. But the Vikings aren't very good running the ball and the Lions are actually good at stopping the run, so expect to see a lot of 3 and outs when the Vikings offense is on the field. Meanwhile, we think the Lions will be fired up for this divisional matchup and will put forth a good effort. So it looks to us that it will be a hard fought battle with very little points being put on the board. Vikings fans will once again this week get a good nap in during the game. Minnesota, 19-13.

PITTSBURGH STEELERS @ SAN DIEGO CHARGERS -3

Here we have the highly energized CHARGERS who entered last weeks game with MJs RAVENS, with a 67-7 scoring edge but didn't score a lick in the final 32 mins in that one, losing in the last 0:34 secs. Taking a look at their RYs they almost tripled the Ravens. vs. that #1 ranked "D", moved their advantage to an impressive 585-198 for the season.

Count 5 turnovers for Steelers in their affair LW vs, the Bengals, 3 INTs for Big Ben, who has 5 for the year, with NO TDs, to rank 31st among starting QBs.

However the STEELERS own this series going an amazing 10-1 ATS.

:flush: that trend !!!
