a few small plays today and ONE MONSTER, GAME OF THE.... well, my biggest play amongst the 3:30 games. FREE... INSIDE!!!!!!!
indiana (+8.5) 1 unit. this is purely anti-illinois. the illini got their first big ten win in approximately 12 years last week. now they're laying 8.5 points? gotta take those points just on principle.
maryland (+14) 1 unit. this is part of my ongoing strategy to take points from chan gailey any time i can get 'em. this is particularly difficult today, because the terps are very bad. the yellow jackets are in a tough spot... coming off their huge win at virginia tech and clemson is on deck.
kansas (+1.5) 1 unit. i am simply not ready to accept texas a&m as conference road chalk.
LSU (+1) 3 units. here it is, boys, the game you've been waiting for. the road team has been dominant in the series lately, covering at least 4 straight. jamarcus russell is turning into a hell of a qb. chris leak impressed the heck out of me as a freshman, but i haven't seen any improvement since then. i know he's had to run a different offense the last two years, but he should still be showing improvement. he hasn't. tim tebow has made some big plays for the gators, but it's been almost all on the ground. that won't work today against this defense. i respect the heck out of what urban meyer did at bg and utah, but his offense just isn't going to put up big numbers against top sec defenses. LSU goes into the swamp and gets a win.
arizona/ucla under (40) 2 units. only one arizona game (not counting the stephen f austin game) has seen more than 31 points this year, and that was the debacle at LSU. ucla will be fired up after last year's blowout at the hands of the wildcats, but their inept offense won't be able to move the ball much. i'm looking for something like a 17-13 final here.
oklahoma (+4) 1 unit. i'm gonna chalk last year up to an aberration and look for the sooners to return to their domination of the longhorns. bob stoops against mack brown, and i'm getting 4 points? sign me up.
minnesota (+3) 1 unit. tough one for me. i think morelli may be starting to settle in. his first 2 road starts were against the #'s 1 & 2 in the country. but until these nittany lions show they can win on the road, i gotta take the points.
east carolina (-6) 1 unit. skip holtz is twice the coach his old man ever was. there, i said it.
the pirates are 4-0 ATS this year, and 12-3 over the last 2 years. i'll take them to beat up an abysmal cavalier team who probably just had the highlight of their season last week, routing duke.
central mich (+2.5) 1 unit. very, very tough to go against toledo at the glass bowl. but this is not the same rocket team as the last few years. the chips are playing some decent football thus far this season and they have the confidence from beating the rockets last year. gman, if you're out there, i'd love any input you have on this game.
georgia (+2.5) 1 unit. a couple factors here: a great defense as a home dog. and mark richt versus phil fulmer. final score, 3-2.
tenn/georgia under (38) 1 unit. see above.
