I met him about 6 years ago in Kansas City. He told some baseball stories that were incredible.

RIP Buck

RIP,

a good person.

Rediculous that he was kept out of the hall of fame by one vote this past year.

Hope the kawksuckers that voted against him becasue he's black feel good about themselves today.

If you ever heard him talk about how big of a deal it would be to him to be in the hall of fame you would understand why I think this is such an injustice.

No reason to vote against him at all, sure they will vote him in next time, but at the very least a year too late.

No disrespect PF, but I think the whole group that got inducted when Buck was up were black. The HOF commissioned a special group (journalists and baseball historians) of people who were supposedly more familiar with the negro leagues than writers of today to pick inductees who played in the Negro Leagues. I doubt he will ever be elgible again which is complete travesty. He always preached after that day that he was not bitter about not being inducted, and went on being a great ambassador for the Negro League Hall of Fame here in KC. He will be missed greatly around here but his spirit will live forever. A total class act.
