I'm the first to admit I'm a HUGE homer when it comes to Alabama football... but I don't care who they are playing... how can they be a 2 TD favorite over anybody? I know that Ole Miss Coach Orgeron is a raving lunatic and they are down again this year, but it took a FG on the last play of the game last year for Bama to win. Maybe the Duke game was a case of Bama looking ahead... but with the offense the Tide has, I just dont' see them covering this big a spread.

my thoughts....i'm not saying that bama is the play here, but take a look at OM. I couldnt back them against my high school team. Yes they beat vandy last week(vandy w/ back up QB), but QB Shaeffer is horrible...he was 3-8 for 80 yds and rushed for about 15. They were able to run the ball on vandy. They will not be able to run on bama, hence forced to throw which they can't do. OM will turn the ball over at least twice. i see OM scoring at the most 10 pts and i see bama putting up at least 27. OM plays bama tough at home, but in tuscaloser, different story

2005: Alabama 13 Ole Miss 10 (Oxford)
2004: Alabama 28 Ole Miss 7 (Tuscaloosa)
2003: Ole Miss43 Alabama 28 (Oxford)
2002: Alabama 42 Ole Miss 7 (Tuscaloosa)
2001: Alabama 27 Ole Miss 24 (Oxford)
2000: Alabama 45 Ole Miss 7 (Tuscaloosa)
1999: Alabama 30 Ole Miss 24 (Oxford)
1998: Alabama 20 Ole Miss 17 (Tuscaloosa)

I know that Bama usually has their way with the Rebs in T-town. I guess I was just shocked at the size of the line... would not have been surprised to see it around 9 - 11. I'm heading down for the game this weekend, hopefully the offense will be able to put some points on the board. Thanks for your thoughts.

If we cover that spread we will win 15-0 having kicked 5 FGs. :mj07: :mj07: :mj07:

I am just staying away from this game completely. Just going to head down to BDS to check it out.

:mj07: :mj07: :mj07: Hopefully we get some offense this week, I don't want to drive 9 hours for a nail biter. But, the Dreamland ribs I'll be chowing down tomorrow night are worth the drive itself. I'll probably put a little on the Tide, but not much to get upset over if they don't cover.
