After last week I feel I should be given a blind fold and a cigerette before these.....

Cincy (-6) over TB
NO was able to run the ball all over the Buc's. They have a rookie QB and the Cincy secondary is more around the ball than NO. The Bengals have had a nice Bye wek so I am sure they are looking to get back on the field. Their most recent game was a 38-13 home loss to New England on Oct. 1. Only one of Cincinnati's losses last season was by more than 14 points. That should leave a pretty bad taste in the mouth of a lot of players. Bengals are giving up 344.8 yards per game to rank 24th in the league. NOT GOOD. The Buccaneers had the NFL's top-ranked defense last season, but have seen age - six starters are older than 30 - and ineffectiveness drop them to 20th heading into this game. A struggling defense, rookie QB, a tough team off a bye and a loss is enough for me to think the Bengals come to play.

Steam Coming In

Steam Coming In

Hi Irish, just want you to know that I always try and read your threads. You obviously have noticed that the line here has been moving against Cinci all week. I was listening to the sportsbook manager of Bowmans sometime this week, and he was saying that steam from sharps was coming in on TB and he would be reluctant to go against this himself.

Just an FYI and a thanks for all you do. Personally, I've got it at +6 and will likely hang on to that. Not a big bet tho, this game is too iffy either way for my liking.

Again, thanks for all you do, for leaches like me who don't have a lot of time to post. :SIB :)

And GOOD LUCK!!

Buff (-1.5) over Det
Buffalo committed five turnovers, including three J.P. Losman interceptions, and was undone by dropped passes, missed tackles and drive-ending penalties in a 40-7 loss at Chicago last Sunday. That was an embarassment for the Bills and IMO they are a better team than that. They have problems if they cannot get the running game going but I think they can establish McGahee today. The Bills have wins over Minnesota and Miami, and lost by a combined 10 points to the Patriots and New York Jets, but were clearly outmatched against Chicago. Buffalo coach Dick Jauron, though, doesn't have it as bad as Rod Marinelli, who took over for Jauron in Detroit in January. Jauron coached the Lions for the final five games of last season after Steve Mariucci was fired, going 1-4. SO Jauron will have a little added motivation for getting his boys ready for this game. The Lions have had good chances to win four of their five games this season, and have had fourth-quarter leads in the last two, but haven't finished anything off. LOSING key players on the line will hurt the lions today. Roy Williams being hurt will hurt the running room for Jones, which is already in trouble. Buffalo has won the last two meetings in this series, but the teams haven't met since Oct. 27, 2002. This is the Bills' first visit to Detroit since Nov. 24, 1994. Both teams have played well this season but IMO injuries for Det will be too much. Both teams want this game and the defense for Buff should limit what the Lions can do. Losman has to show up and the Bills should have enough to get it done.

Ravens/CAr UNDER (33.5)
Both teams have defense, both teams like to run the ball and both teams have had problems getting it done on offense.

Atl (-3) over NYG
Atlanta's defense has allowed one touchdown all season - on a trick play by New Orleans in Week 3 - despite being without defensive end John Abraham since he injured his groin in the opener. But Abraham is back today and IMO that is a huge difference in the pass rush. The Falcons also may see linebacker Ed Hartwell take the field for the first time in a year this week. AGAIN another Great addition to the defense. New York now will be tested by Atlanta's NFL-leading rushing attack, which averages 234.3 yards per game. Running backs Warrick Dunn and Jerious Norwood have combined to rush for 582 yards, while quarterback Michael Vick has run for 333. Atlanta will be trying to stop Giants quarterback Eli Manning, who is third in the NFL with nine touchdown passes and sixth with a 97.1 rating. The Falcons have won the last three meetings in this series - all held from 2002-04 in Giants Stadium - with a different starting quarterback each time. The home field advantage, the additions to the defense, the rushing game and Vicks ability to scramble give me the play. Also aside from the redskins game teams have been able to score on the giants and I think the falcons will be able to generate points. The WR for atl need to be a factor today and they have the speed to do so, it is a matter if Vick finds them. I think Crumpler will have a big game with Pierce shadowing Vick and that should get Alge open on roll outs.

Balt (-3) over Carolina
The ravens off a loss come home and look to rebound. Baltimore, which gives up 219.6 yards per game to rank second in the NFL and is fourth in points allowed at 9.2 per game. Bad play before half cause McNair throwing into tight coverage (Bailey)... not a good decision. McNair has not been sharp lately and it will not be easier against the tough Carolina defense. Baltimore ranks 29th in the NFL with 267.6 yards of offense per game, and McNair is 29th among quarterbacks who have played more than one game with an average of 182.2 passing yards. The rushing game hasn't been much better, averaging 97.2 yards per game. Since their season-opening defeat to Atlanta in which they allowed 252 rushing yards, the Panthers have held opponents to an average of 89.5 rushing yards. Carolina ranks ahead of only Tampa Bay in the NFC with 289.6 yards per game. Quarterback Jake Delhomme, who had five interceptions in his first five games last season, has been intercepted only once and has four touchdowns passes, but is averaging just 195.6 yards per game. The Panthers went 0-for-11 on third down and are converting a league-worst 18.6 percent (11-of-59) of their chances in those situations. Also they have to find help with DeAngelo Williams out today. The defense, Homefield advantage, both teams struggling and Baltimores ability to win ugly is the reason for my play. Would like to See McNair start passing better, he has some players open but has not throw the ball well. Establish J. Lewis but get Musa and anderson in because IMO they run harder than Lewis this season. Using play action to find Heap because the defense of Carolina will be very aggressive.

SD (-9.5) over SF
While Rivers' emergence has been crucial to his team's fast start, the defense has been just as important. San Diego has 16 sacks in four games, two less than AFC leader Baltimore, which has played one more game. San Diego will also look to shut down the 49ers' Frank Gore, who has rushed for 465 yards - tied for first in the league. But he has put the ball on the ground and if the Chargers defense tried to strip him they should be successful. Rivers will be going against a defense that has allowed the most points in the NFL (146). LT should have a big day because teams cannot stack the box against Rivers now. He has shown he can throw the ball and that gives the offense a big bonus. The SD defense should be all over Smith and cuase him to throw in bad situations and I expect some turnovers. SF have beaten Oakland (terrible) and St. L (Juries out on that team) and got hammered by Arizona, Philly and KC. I expect the Chargers offense to be too much and the defense be up to shutting down whatever the 49ers attempt to do.

I must use my powers for good as I did telling all to take Oakland cause I leaned Den......

Bears (-13) over Cards
Small play cause I have blown goat in pro but I like the offense, running game and defense against a rookie QB without Fitgerald.
In conclusion
Tonight take the Cards (+13) over the Bears
I liked the bears a lot so we all know the Cards and he points are a solid play. I was not going to post but not giving people the chance to see what I like and go the other is just unfair.
