the most overrated coach today. i remember when the vikings were stinking up the joint and there were rumors he was going to get fired. he actually said he was going to sue if he was because of racism. total loser.

On the course!
ive seen alot worse than that,he actually threw the ball alot in the 4th..the sp teams lost that game ,the td and missed easy fg

Are you stoned? WTF is Edge James up the middle for zero yards every chance they had in the second half????? Yeah...they tossed some passes, but they were "safe" passes coaches throw to kill the clock, not crush a team with a score.

He thought they could continue to chew up three or four minutes off the clock every time they had the ball, and that they would keep Chicago off the board. Well, that might have worked if you could have picked up a fukking first down!

Funny how they moved the ball again, once they were trailing..........

If it wasn't for special teams and turnover catastrophes in the 4th, his strategy to wear the clock down worked.

It's not like he went 3 and out, punted and Chicago drove down the field against a Prevent D.

I don't know, just seems like two horribly bad/unlucky plays (fumble, returned Punt) is what costs them this game. Not necessarily bad coaching.

That being said, totally agree with whoever said they should have run the ball between the hash marks to set up an easier kick.

And don't get me wrong, I'm not a huge fan of the guy.

e james has been going up the middle for no yards all year...dont think any coach will try and crush the bears when their ahead, especialy the cards with a rookie qb..wtf are you watching, thats not what lost the game...if they did go 3 and out they wouldve won the game b/c the bear off whouldve had to win the game, and that wasnt happening tonight

Cards trying to run clock out without getting first down was right plan, wrong execution. There was an easy 3-5 minutes they coulda ticked off the clock in the 4th qtr. before any of this happened between the 11:00 & 5:00 marks of the qtr. If they wanted to run, then run, run, pass like most conventional teams and not run, pass,pass...wasn't working for them.

10:53 4th qtr. game in control Zona starts possesion and only takes 52 secs off of clock??

9:17 4th qtr. Zona starts another possession and only takes 1:57 off of clock

4:53 4th qtr. start another posession after Edge fumble still with lead and only take 1:55 off of clock without causing Bears to burn timeouts. Play selection was run, first down 15yd pass, run, pass? pass??? Understand going for fd but on 3rd & 12 with 3:23 left in game throw safe screen or run to keep clock ticking and/or make Bears use TO.

Can be argued many different ways, and yes they needed fd's, but could have wasted alot more time off of the clock in the process.

Inexperience and bad coaching. If you paid attention near the end Zona was even snapping the ball with 8 secs left on the play clock?????

All in all, just bad play calling and time management and it bit Denny in the a** again.
4 key posessions in 4th qtr. between a little over 10min. to go in the game & right under 5 min. to go in the game and they only take off a little over 5min. of clock?????

When it comes down to it with a little better time consumption, better play distribution, and at least 1 more first down in that entire process....there was a good chance that punt would have never even had to happen.

Well, I certainely could not have said it better:)......
And would not have had the time:142smilie

Has to be in my top three of all time best wins. And I mean the Lucky vs. the Bad Beats:SIB

I could not pull the Bears on the ML, like I was thinking, so I teased them everywhich way but Loose (13Ptrs) and came out smelling pretty:com:
The only gamer tonight, other than Bouldin and maybe a few OFF/DEF Lineman for the Cards was Lienhardt. I bet Houston feels great:sadwave:

I need to start a thread now about how great everyone thinks Grossman is!:scared What a jackass. There were some around comparing him to Farve, Elway, Montana and the like the last few weeks:mj07:

I'll tell you what, I'm a huge Florida Gators fan and saw the "good old" Rex tonight. Back in Florida once he got a big head he was terrible and played way above his means and mostly out of control. Tried to be Danny Wuerffel when he wasn't.

Too much hype around him as of yet and as much as I like him from the Florida days he is no where near what he thinks he is right now since once again the hype has gone to his head. He is tough to keep on a leash and in control, very egotistical. It should have bit him in the a** tonight but his team pulled him out of it. Will be interesting to see how he responds the next 3-4 games.

Exactly~
This leads even more credence to what I have been saying about Grossman:SIB I have buddies arguing with me on who should be the QB for the Bears the last 18mos. My pick would have been the kid from Purdue, but obviously I know shit:SIB .....
Thanks for that insight Big ND, I did not know he had a big head? these are things you find out from Alums like you. Cant wait till the Bears play real meat of their schedule out on the east coast:mj07:

16-0 my ass!:scared

Dennis Green didn't lose this game. His game plan put the team in a position to win, but they blew it.

I feel bad for the Cardinal fans. The Cards are the Lions of the West and I grew up a Lions fan, so I know how it goes.
