This guy sponge probably is from Philly if I had to take a guess, that place is home of the some of the biggest dirtbags I have ever seen, case in point the Vet and the few times I've been there, these racist thoughts arent a-typical for a lot of people in that town, as segregated as it gets but I could be wrong, either way you can never win talking about sensitive topics like that so just stay away unless you love confrontation and attention

Just for the record, look it up, Blacks are about 40% of a prison population that is about 5 million total. That would give you about 2 million blacks in prison. There are about 40 million blacks in America. That gives you about 5% of the total Black population is in prison. There are more Black men of college age in college than in prisons.

I think I made a mistake. We have about 2 million in prison, not 5 million. From what I have been able to gather that's 1/2 million more than China. The Black population in prison is about 40% of the total prison population and about 2.5 % of the total black population in America. I was just curious, when you hear numbers thrown around about any subject, does anyone ever check them out? If some one has the numbers , put then up.

Dogs that Bark usually has good hard numbers on what blacks are up to - check with him, Bryan. This is probably the one area where he and Sponge might have some of Jesse Jackson's "common ground".

I have a black friend, but for some reason he's unable to tell me why his people are always getting into trouble, messing up buffets, and not leaving tips. When I ask him about prison, he has to remind me that he's never done time. He gets really mad when I tell him to stay away from my white girlfriend...or to take care of his out of wedlock kids that I naturally assumed he had. I always confuse him with TV blacks. One day I beat him in basketball and thought I was the greatest athlete in the world. As time passed though, I learned that he's the only black person in the world whose not good at basketball. Imagine the odds - my black friend is the one black who managed to stay out of jail, tip generously, and suck at basketball. I guess he's the rare good black in a sea of negro nightmares. ...Or so it would seem.
