i have never been a denver fan...and i hate jake plummer...

but,the o/u opened around 38......i think that`s high....

like `em or not,i think denver`s defense has been magnificent this year..very tough secondary...and they have a chip on their shoulder.......the ground game is solid...even though they don`t score a ton of points...

to hang in here, that "d" will have to do it again...and i think they will...i also think they`ll utilize that ground game to control clock here....

their worst defensive outting was on opening day at the rams...they seem to get tougher by the week....and that "d" hasn`t given up more than one td in ANY game this year....

they gave tom brady fits at new england...and really haven`t had an off night thus far...

i suspect there`ll be some field goals...

and if we`re lucky, maybe the weather won`t cooperate with the domers.....

i also lean toward denver minus the 2 or 2.5,depending where you shop.....

despite plummer...and any real stand-out offensive stars...denver seems to have a certain cohesion this year... they have that strange aura about them...not saying super bowl...but,they are reminiscent of the 2000 ravens....

maybe i`m overstating it,but, they are playing very well...flying under the radar a bit...

HAS to be under, doesn't it!

...in fact I there there are some gift totals on the board;
Balt @ NO under 37 and Jets @ Brownies over 36.5!!

Really like all 3.

Bronco fan here and my take...

Denver lost 2 key players in the Cleveland game. Warren on D-line and Lepsis on O-line. They didn't come into play against Cleveland but they will against Indy. Lepsis' replacement is untested and a practice squad guy and Warren was replaced by Veal who isn't that bad.

Indy is the worst at run D-fense in the league...
So if the Brocnos can run and control the clock they can keep the scoring down and win against Indy.

My thinking is they played 2 soft teams in a row (Oak and Cleve) and now must really step up to the level of competition. It looks like Peyton got pretty banged up on the sack he took in his game but I don't know the extent of that injury. Denver tried to open the offense up against Cleveland and still onyl scored 17 points (I thought they'd at least get 20). Shanny has implemented some vanilla offense so Indy and Pitt couldn't pick up on anything, now he will open it up...but can Plummer execute???

When Indy crushed the Broncos in the 2 playoff games, the Broncos used a blitz-heavy scheme against them and Indy ate them up. The Broncos barely blitz now and their coverage uses the bend but don't break approach. Bailey is awesome but Darrent Williams is turning into a great cover guy as well. Can Peyton exploit them? We shall see but I say he will be hard pressed to score at will like his past games against Denver allowed him to.

The problem will be Plummer...Can he play a good game with minimal turnovers? Can Tatum run for 100 plus against the Colts whimpy run D???

This has the makings of a game of the week...it should be fun to watch and will give Denver a good idea where they stand against the rest of the league. If they beat Indy, they will be a force from here on out (barring injury to key players obviously).

If I had to chose, I'd have to say Denver under a fg is a good bet. Their home record, their D, Dungy vs Shanny, grass vs turf, outside vs indoors...but Indy Offense is far and away better than Denver's...If Denver falls behind by 7 to ten points early off a Plummer mistake or bell fumble forget it...but if they minimize mistakes...I see Denver 6-1 after this one...

good luck (sorry so winded)

c-that jets/cleveland over looks interesting...

feelgood..that`s for the skinny..

btw, mcnair didn`t practice today, even though the general consensus in b`more is that he`ll be ready by sunday....

it`s almost surreal that the ravens possess practically no running game.....that offensive line is just that...offensive...

i love what brees has done with that new orleans offense...the guy is a solid qb.....
