NFL YTD (4-0)

Don't have time for a long writeup but I'm very surprised by this line. I would probably lay close to two TDs on the Chiefs this week. With Hass and Alexander out the Hawks are relegated to Seneca Wallace and Mo Morris as their QB and HB. With some time to prepare they will probably get creative and have quite a few options to get Wallace out of the pocket, but I just can't see the Hawks scoring many points in this one. I don't like pinning my hopes on the arm of Damon Huard but considering the injuries to the Hawks and the fact that Seattle has always struggled in KC, I think the Chiefs will cover this one easily.

One note... the only worry I have for this game is the Chiefs having a letdown after that huge win last week against SD. They know they should win this game so I'm hoping they bring it and don't leave their intensity at home.

Upstairs watching sports on the big TV.
Pinnacle parlay nfl

Pinnacle parlay nfl

I do not know if it means anything, but i tried to do a three teamer and Pinny is not offering this game.....I emailed them as to why, have not heard back.
As super sharp as Pinny is, I suspect a blowout, and they know it?

Yeah, that's odd. It's been common knowledge that Hasselbeck will miss the game for a couple of days now. It's not like they would take the line down because they just found that out. Weird...

Wow! -3??? That's a great line. I wanted to jump on this one as soon as the line came out but I didn't get a chance. I grabbed it at -6 Tuesday afternoon, so it must have got hit pretty hard. I can't see why the linemakers would open it at -3. That's just puzzing. GL to us!

Seattle, Wa.
He's definetly out of this game....and just a note, Michael Boulware will not play either...Jordan Babineaux will replace him. Remember his stellar play in the SB?

I'm buying my bet back knowing that Huard is out and Croyle is in. Not that I'm a big believer in Huard but Croyle is the 3rd stringer so who knows if he throws 4 picks and completely craps the bed or not.

I have to say I'm VERY disappointed by this development. The only other game I liked more this year was the Bears at home against the Hawks a few weeks ago. Oh well.

I've scratched the KC bet but there are two other games I really like. Not nearly as much as I had liked KC, but here we go nonetheless...

Denver (-2.5) I know people are probably confused that a 6-0 team is getting points in this spot but I really think Denver wins and covers this game. The Colts D is #31 against the run and the Broncos are a bunch of running fools. Look for Tatum Bell to go nuts on Sunday. I really expect them to ram it down Indy's throats all game.

If I'm not mistaken, and on the other side of the ball, Denver has the 8th ranked pass D so that should neutralize Manning & Co. a bit. As for Indy's run game, I'm not impressed. I don't think that will factor in one bit. Also, Denver's D is only allowing 7 points a game. Indy will probably score more than that but I don't see them going into Denver and lighting up the scoreboard at all.

Whenever I bet on Jake Plummer I have to throw out the "I should have my head examined" line, but I think Denver's running game will be the focal point in this game. This is a good thing... it will cut down on Jakey Jakey Big Mistakey's chances to screw Denver bettors.

One last note... I'm not a trend player at all but I found this one interesting... over the last 22 years Denver is 11-0 at home against undefeated teams.

Minny (+ whatever) - I actually think Minny wins this one outright. I'm not going to bet it now because I think the public will be all over NE as that seems to have been their M.O. for the past few years. I don't mean to discount NE at all. They are still a good football team but I think Minnesota is every bit as good, if not better.

I am the first to admit I underestimated Minnesota this year. They took one of the best teams in the NFL, daaaaaa Bears, down to the wire at home and I see no reason to believe why they wouldn't do the same to the Pats. Brady doesn't have the receivers he used to so I think the Pats will have to rely on their ground attack. While Maroney and Dillon are a formidable pair and the Pats running game is stout, I don't see either of them having big games against Minnesota.

I would be lying if I said I've seen every Vikings game this year, but the ones I have seen their D-line looked pretty good. If they can limit the Pats ground attack I think that puts them in good shape. On the other side of the ball I think Johnson can actually have a good game against that Pats secondary. Throw in the fact that this is a home game, on Monday night, and that's all the more reason to like the Vikes in my opinion.

GL fellas...

I got on the Seahawks earlier this week for a small play. I just thought that this line looked phony to me. With Alexander and Hasselback out, I though this line would be close to 10 considering that the game is in KC. Before the news of Huard's injury came out, all the money was on the Chiefs, but still, the line didn't move. Something smells.

another thing, Senneca Wallace has played at Arrowhead when he was the QB for Iowa State and they played Florida State right down to the wire a few years ago.

BTW, Pinnacle has to down to -4.

Rough day... bought back my KC bet which ended up being a winner and the Broncos lost a close one to Indy. I'm very surprised Denver lost that game. As good as Indy is I just didn't see them scoring that many points. Clearly I missed the boat on that one. Still have the Vikes tomorrow. GL all...

Hey pt,

I think the line was somewhere around 5 or 5.5. I wasn't home this morning so I didn't even realize he was going to play. I just read the initial reports that he was probably going to be out and then heard he tried to practice on it and was gimpy. Oh well. That'll teach me to be away from the computer Sunday morning! :mj07:

As for the hoops, I had no idea Damon was great at hoops. I went to college with Brock and I can honestly say he's one of the nicest guys I've ever met.
