Seems to be a risky play because of injury possibilities, but if there was no injury risk I would def. bet this.

good value, because you know he will def. be a top 2-3 candidate for the MVP race.

The way the league kisses his ass i think this might be a good pick. In my honest opinion right now he is way to overrated for my taste

overrated?

naw. LB is the real deal. He is that good!

i got into arguments with guys all last year saying he was overratted. Im talking about what the announcers say and they are going way overboard with this kid. I fought tooth and nail with guys telling me he was better than Wade and Wade shut that talk up after the finals. this kid is still a kid. In time he might become great but right now he isnt. I can think of six guys id rather have then him. He travels all the time and his airballs are second to none. His foul shooting in the clutch is bad. I like to compare people to Jordan and he is nowhere close to Michael. he also better get rid of that joke of a point guard eric Snow because Snow is a carreer killer.

sponge your the one that doesnt do his research

if you look at the link i posted it doesnt have "dan patrick said THIS about Lebron" It has stats and facts to back up why Lebron is better than dwade, sorry guys its true.

I MIGHT take a couple of guys before Lebron, MAYBE. But they are all much older and thier careers will be coming to an end far before Lebron

Dont know why you have to be throwing insults in the handicapping forum sponge

the only player in the league better than lebron is kobe.

normally, im the first person to say 'tone down the hype' on a player. seeing him play a handful of times in high school, i had plenty of doubts and reservations. i refuse to be force-fed stuff from the media.

but lebron is simply that good.

does he have weaknesses? absolutely. he's got areas to improve, starting with his defense.

i know cleveland is on national tv 20 or 25 times a year.

but to really appreciate his game, you really need to watch -- really, really WATCH -- him play over the course of an 82-game season.

just watching announcers gush over a highlight reel dunk or a no-look pass doesn't do his game justice.

any star can dunk or throw a no-look pass. that's not what makes him so good.

but his basketball acumen and ability to see things truly before they happen is what sets him apart from wade and carmelo, along with the rest of the league.

the jump he made from year 1 and 2 to last year was downright scary.

to say there are 6 guys youd rather have than him is simply being argumentative or downright silly.

the media hype actually works against him in a sense because a lot of people want to dismiss him as overrated because of the way this rookie class, starting with lebron, is shoved down the public's throat.

the hype, for once, is actually merited.

his skills aside....

So far he's been a great ambassador for the NBA. Stern would really love giving him the trophy.

Kobe is the best player in the NBA. he's every bit as good as jordan at his age. hes only 28 years old and has a minimum of 6 good years left.

eventually lebron is gonna be better than kobe. might be the best ever. he's only played 3 years. his upside is endless.

nba goes in cycles. 80s were bird and magic, 90s ]was jordan, and the 2000's is kobe and the late part of this decade will be all lebron.

debates like this are dumb in that everyone has their own opinion and its impossible to sway anyone.

people dis on kobe because he's portrayed as a prick. maybe his is, maybe he isn't, but its not like any of you know him. he probably is because hes an NBA player, and 90% are pricks. it's also not like any of you know lebron either. he's the current media darling getting all the love like kobe did in his early years, but he's only escaped 3 years of scrutiny. the media and public can easily turn on him in the coming years. again, no one here knows him or even what he's really like. maybe hes an angel, but being an NBA star thats highly unlikely.

again, it also depends on how you define best player. if its the player with the most skills and talent, then its kobe with lebron closing in daily and soon to pass. if its best teamate and one who makes others better than you can factor in the dwayne wades and steve nashes of the world.

as for the original poster, +254 is a fair price for lebron and he most likely will be i the top 3 so i think you have a better than average chance of cashing barring injury.

KOBE

DIRK

NASH

ARE ALL BETTER THEN LEBRON

BUT WITHOUT DOUBT YOU CALL A PLAYER GREAT FOR HIS ABILITY TO WIN THE BIG ONES...

NOBODY WOULD CONSIDER JORDAN THE GREATEST WITHOUT ALL HIS RINGS!!!

AND BY FAR DWAYNE WADE AND KOBE ARE THE BEST 2 PLAYERS IN THE LEAGUE BECAUSE THEY HAVE WON THE BIG GAMES!!!

LEBRON WILL BE LUCKY TO WIN 1 RING IN HIS CAREER..........YES LUCKY!!!!

WADE WILL BE UP THERE WITH JORDAN BY THE END OF HIS CAREER.....AND LEBRON UNLESS HE LEAVES THE CAVS WILL BE A PLAYER LIKE T-MAC ......GREAT TALENT JUST NOT ENOUGH STRENGTH AND LEADERSHIP AROUND HIM TO CARRY THEM TO THE CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!!!!!!

UNDEBATABLE DWAYNE WADE HAS THE BULLETS AROUND HIM TO REPEAT AGAIN THIS YEAR AND POSSIBLY FOR THE NEXT FEW YEARS...

CAVS WILL BE LUCKY TO MAKE THE PLAYOFFS....YES I SAID IT.

Nah i wouldn't take AI over him or Nash or even Dirk. Kobe, tmac, duncan, Elton brand, Amare, and Howard this not counting age or health. Tmac i love but his back is a real concern. Im not saying Jordan didn't get a lot of favorable treatment by refs but Lebron has taken it to another level. This league is dying to make him the face of it. Go look at that play that change the series around last year when Cleve beat Wash. He must of took eight steps to make a dunk. He is also a gunner. Someday not now.

Kobe as good as Jordan please. Jordan was the best offensive player as well as the best defensive player when he wanted to be. I would take a healthy Tmac over Kobe just by watching Tmac in the playoffs. He shut down Big Dog in his prime and made an example out of Dirk two years ago. to put Lebron in head of Wade is also nuts. Did you watch the playoffs? He took over just like Jordan use to. he took over against detroit and lebron struggled big time with Detroit. All that hype with Kobe in the playoffs on how he was getting everyone involve was a complete joke. His ass was getting shut down by Raja Bell and its that simple. Raja bell is a great defender and he was in Philly also. the announcers were making all kinds of excuse for Kobe but someone who can actually see knew Bell was the reason he had trouble scoring. When Bell got suspended i think Kobe threw up fifty. You are right tho these type of discussion are stupid.

uh, wade happens to be playing alongside the most dominant center of the generation. even in the homestretch of his career, oneal blows ilgauskas away. wade could miss a month and the heat would go .500. james could miss a month and the cavs would struggle with the blazers.
