Doesn't that Ohio St line look tempting? Minnesota struggled with North Dakota St. Only question is does Tressel put the scrubs in real early.

be careful with wisconsin. they play penn st the next week and have had huge trouble with mobile quarterbacks. Juice Williams is as mobile as they get

Michigan/Northwestern under 48: Wolverines are in the home stretch with three weeks of games where they will be three touchdown or more favorites. Wildcats have to be shell-shocked after allowing a Michigan St., a team with less heart than the Tin Man, to come back from a 35 point deficit. I don't see NW scoring much in this one. Prior to the Sparty game they had scored 10 against Purdue, 9 against Wisky and 7 against Penn St. Even if Michigan plays a little uninspired (which I expect), I can't see NW scoring more than 10. Michigan will continue to pound the ball on the ground while working on some things offensively to prepare for their showdown with the Buckeyes. Manningham may play some so they will work to get him some touches. I think Hart will sit once he get his 100 yards to rest his ankle. Michigan will score some points but the second half will be typical Michigan--avoid scoring and get the game over. My only fear is that Grady or Minor break a long one and put the game over. This one should be around 38-7.

Wisky -20.5 over Illinois: Badgers are rolling and need to keep the momentum going with Penn St. and Iowa coming up next. The wheels might be falling off the Illinois wagon with three straight losses since the Sparty win. Williams is doing a good job but he doesn't have much help. PJ Hill is a load for the Badgers and Stocco is really playing well. I don't think this one will be close.

Ohio St. -26.5 over Minnesota: I'm not usually one to lay big chalk but I can't see the Gophers putting up much of a fight in this one. Buckeyes have too many weapons and will pour it on in front of the homecoming crowd. No doubt some of the rich alumni are laying the chalk and letting Tressel know about it. The UC game convinced me of that:nono:

EMU/WMU under 45: After watching the Toledo/EMU abortion, I am convinced this game will stay under. If Eagles struggled to score against the rotten Rocket defense at home, they will definitely have problems against WMU. Bronco offense is nothing special which will help also. This should be a 24-10 type game.

North Texas +10 over Troy: I think I have written this before but I will write it again--no Sun Belt team should be laying double-digits to anyone. Sun Belt games are riddled with stupid penalties, dropped passes, turnovers and bad tackling. This makes it very difficult to hold a lead, let alone cover a large number. Troy should win but they are too inconsistent to cover the ten points.

MTSU +3 over ULL: Huge game for the Ragin Cajuns as MTSU is already 3-0 in the conference. MTSU's QB Marks has been playing pretty well the last three weeks and their defense has been very solid. ULL's running backs are strong but I think Babb is soft. Look for MTSU to force Babb to beat them and I don't think he can. MTSU takes a big step towards the conference title with a road win.

Not until Thursday evening. I will be out of town when the lines get posted but should have some games later that night. Damn job is getting in the way of my handicapping.

Write ups:

Grambling -15.5 over Texas Southern: Big win last week for Grambling over Jackson State and it put them in a first place tie with Arkansas Pine-Bluff in the west. They are hoping Jackson State can turn it around and beat Pine Bluff for them this week. In any event, Grambling must continue to take care of business. This week should be a good test for their offense against a pretty solid Texas Southern defense. The problem for TS will be that they will not be able to move the ball. Their lack of offense will put their defense on the field way too long. Grambling should break this one open in the second half. The line has moved to 17 or 17.5 and that should still be good.

Marist -18 over St. Peter's: St. Peter's is one of the worst teams in Division I-AA. They have given up at least 35 points to every I-AA they have played this year. Offensively, they have decent passing stats but most of those numbers are being put up against the opponent's AYOs. Marist is not great but they take advantage of opportunities like this to get big wins (see the LaSalle game). At home, Marist should win this one by 24 or so.

E. Illinois +4 over Tennessee-Martin: Showdown of unbeatens in the OVC. UTM has put together a nice season so far but I don't see why they would be favored in this one. EIU has played a better schedule and should win this one. I'll gladly take the 4 points in what should be a low scoring game.

Delaware -4 over Towson: Probably the weakest of these picks but I'm playing because of the numbers. Delaware had a big win last week against Richmond but I don't anticipate a letdown. Towson on the road for the second week in a row. This one should be lined around 10.

Georgetown +10 over Chas. Southern: Looks like a strange pick with Chas Southern at 7-1 and Georgetown at 1-6. But CS has played a horrible schedule. The Citadel (2-5) may be the best team they have faced and they only beat them by 3. I'll take my chances with the points.
