UAB @ SMU... Thoughts appreciated!

I don't know much about either club. SMU has a good passing game as their freshman QB, Willis has put up some huge numbers by completing 70% with 19 to 3 TD/INT ratio. UAB has given up 154 YPG rushing which is terrible. SMU gives up 284 YPG passing. Probably not a huge crowd as it's Halloween night and I'm sure rich SMU kids got better things going than watching 2nd rate football game.

UAB is 0-3 SU on the road and SMU is 3-0 @ home. This definately helps explain the 4.5 point spread for SMU. I would love to hear others thoughts.

both these teams are 2-2 in con usa. Uab is one of 4 teams in the east with 2 losses. A win tonight and they are in first place in the east with E Car.

well...as an SMU alumni...I would agree that MOST "rich SMU kids got better things going" tonight...but I also do know that this is our first nationally televised game since I was a sophomore in 96' and we played Tomlinson and TCU on ESPN...and as said later in this thread...they have hope (very slim) of some kind of bowl game this year (for the first time since the Pony Express of the early 80's with Dickerson and James)...that being said...I think SMU has the advantages in this one...but since I don't want to bet with my heart, I will only be playing the Over...

Okay, I'm sick and instead of going out, I'm staying home. I was going to see Government Mule play, but my head cold has definately gotten the best of me. I can't quit blowing my nose and I'm going to take Nyquil after dinner.

UAB +5 for 7.5*
UAB ML (+185) for 3*
UAB 1st half +3 for 4*

I have looked around the web and seen UAB is getting zero play. Well, we had one huge public play cash last night with NE, I highly doubt we have another tonight.

Prediction: UAB 24 SMU 17 - Willis has huge numbers against subpar competition, but his numbers aren't as impressive against decent teams. Also, the Gold Sheet errh Cold Sheet likes SMU tonight. SMU looks like the obvious play and I would rather not be on the overfull bandwagon.

Wow what an exciting game huh guys...SMU offense and special teams are just a disgrace...i can't even begin to count how many fumbles.....and how about the zebras?....they should think about a career change....something like a greeter at wal-mart....this game is in the running to beat the ULL at FAU 9-0 game for worst game of the year....
