Bears -7.5 1st half (+111)

This looks like an awesome play this week. After poring over the stats, I do not see much reason to not make this a big play. The Bears are @ home this week vs. hapless Miami.

Everybody is aware of what a dominant defense the Bears have, but let me point out some stats to back this up. Thus far in the first half @ home, the Bears are outscoring their opponents 128-6!!!! They have allowed but two field goals all season @ home in the first half and have shut out four of their five opponents while scoring an average of 24 point. In fact their lowest total in the first half @ home this season is 16 points.

Miami, on the other hand, has been behind or tied in the first half of every game but one this season. they have done a little better on the road than at home (probably because they don't have to listen to all those boos) scoring an average of 6 first half points away, compared with just 4 @ home. Soldier Field is where offenses have gone to die this season and I hope to keep that trend alive this week.

I also like that pick alot, but if it looks too good to be true, then it probably is. You're right, based on stats this year, Chicago usually has the game won by the half. However, isn't Miami's defense kind of decent? I think it's guaranteed the Bears win at home, but I'm not sure if they can cover. The NFL has been so damn unpredictable it's not even funny. For some reason, I can see the game tied or even Miami up 10-6 or something at the half. There have been so many surprises in the NFL. A good example is the Monday night game a couple of weeks ago between the Bears and the Cards......
