Winner of Mich/OSU will play for the title. Thats fine. But its horrible to have a re-match for the national title.

I have no problem with a rematch if there was a playoff system and both teams ended up there. But how much worse can the college postseason get if it allows such a rematch? How much more unfair does it get, in several ways....

First, lets say they split. Both teams have one loss and are even in head-to-head games. You have just made "Game 1" meaningless and "Game 2" means everything. Not only that, the winner of "Game 1" should not have to play that team again.

Its also very unfair to everyone else. Everyone else who has lost during the season has dropped, and dropped more than just one spot.

Mich/OhioSt needs to be a "playoff" game which eliminates the loser. This is their chance to get into the title game. What more do they need? Its bad enough that some conferences have conf. championships.

I was really hoping that things would fall where Mich/OSU winner would play NotreDame/USC winner, but thats not going to happen.

I long for a playoff, but under the current system, the last thing we need is a rematch of an elimination game.

This isn't boxing where there are only 4 or 5 contenders.
