this is off memory but it was 9 i believe at sb.com last week

interesting. that seems a little high, but i can see where a 9 wouldnt be shocking. i think you can make a good case for both teams. but i think the best case can be made for an under. i think a lot depends on how this game finishes. its a looong way from over. wvu not going to lay down.

i think its a dead 50 total win or lose.
spread kinda contingent on the final 20:00 of this game tonight. but im not sure oddsmakers will give rutgers more than the full TD at home, esp after the clemson/virginia tech result.

rutgers +4, total 52 or so.

rutgers will cover whatever the number is. teams don't cover 2 thursday nights in a row national tv. won't happen. provided they hang on tonight.

rutgers is better than west virginia anyway.

the question is what happens if rutgers wins. why don't they get to the title game if they win out. isn't that what all the louisville/wvu people are touting as this great conference.

title game:

michigan -31 -140
rutgers + 31 +132

over 33 +114
under 33 -104

lmao
..... but youre right, that hypothetical total would be loooow.

youre right about teams not covering on b2b espn weekday games. i believe it applies to tuesday night c-usa games as well.

Louisville -8 & 51 is my guess... public will love Louisville if they hang on for the win... However, line will be greatly adjusted if Louisville folds this game away.

public didnt like louisville as a short chalk tonight. not convinced theyre going to love louisville as a medium-sized road chalk a week later, win or lose. different teams, sure. but plenty are on the rutgers bandwagon as well. it seems like most concur on something around (-7) to (-8.5) and a total in the ballpark of 50-52

just like w. virginia, rutgers also has a one dimensional attack...i'm not so sure that the rutgers qb can take the team on his shoulders & pass towards a victory.

that is true; however, the rutgers defense, even on a bad day, is still better and more fundamentally sound than the sieve of a D wvu displays. wvu tried to beat lville with an all-out offensive attack. schiano is going to do it nfl-style with field position, clock-eating drives, and defense.
