Chad there are over 7 million who voted from home or over seas by absentee ballots. Who do they show there ID card to.

and i`m sure that absentee balloting is rife with fraud...

""Hundreds of fraudulent voter address changes have been submitted to St. Louis County election officials by ACORN, the activist group that has been criticized for its voter sign-up work elsewhere in the nation.

An ACORN official said it could be the fault of overzealous employees of the organization.

Voters who don't get a polling-place notification card in the mail right before the election could find that their addresses have been changed without their knowledge, said Joseph Goeke, one of the county's two elections directors.

The address changes, including forged signatures, are among hundreds of questionable or fraudulent voter registration cards submitted to the county within the past couple of months, election officials said.

The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, founded in 1970, has run voter registration drives in Missouri and 16 other states this year. Similar allegations have been made in Pennsylvania, Ohio and Colorado, though no charges have been filed.

ACORN has registered hundreds of thousands of legitimate voters across the country, paying workers about $8 an hour in some cases.

The group's leaders don't set quotas for the workers, but some may have turned in phony cards to make it look like they were working, ACORN's national spokesman Kevin Whelan said.

ACORN officials say the group is cooperating with investigators."Any workers who turned in fraudulent cards should be prosecuted,"Whelan said.

ACORN registered more than a million U.S. voters in 2004, when it also had to defend itself against fraud allegations. That year, unreadable cards, duplicate registrations and other invalid or potentially fraudulent registrations turned up in Ohio, Minnesota, North Carolina and Virginia.

Goeke said voters who don't receive their get polling-place notification card can take proof of their residence to the polls on election day.""

so,you have problems with voter fraud.....so,what`s the answer?....you make it easier? ..you dumb the whole process down?...no i.d`s....registration of dead people...changing the addresses of the opposing political party faithful...

you must think this is the public school system...

djv wants to make it easier to commit voter fraud...not tighten the system up...

btw...where is this story in the msm?.....cbs,nbc,abc,cnn...the ny times?....

the answer is obvious..they`re to busy covering the fact that "reverend haggard"(whoever the hell he is)is a closet poofter......

unreal...

Why not enforce laws already on the books? bust some people for signing up fake people.

Rather than adding another law or policy which will be enforced unevenly, start using the laws we already have on the books to bust some ass.

All partisan bickering aside, it was an interesting documentary. The machines did screw up in some places, that was proven. We just don't know how much.

I have never showed Id to vote in NY. You have to be on the list in the right place. It would not be that easy for fraudulent big numbers to show up and vote .

i dont know it seems like i vote this same way. i live in a small township where the same people who know everyone because its a small town, do the handling of this thing. I go to the desk and she always goes right to my name., She says high sponge, and then crosses my name off the list. Now no way anyone can walk in there and pretend they are me but i can see someone maybe putting votes in for someone that doesnt show up. Ii know this collection of people wouldn't do it at my place. Now the pain in the ass people who are out front trying to hand me the same shit i threw out for ten months, i wouldn't trust them i bit.

G W your wrong. I support machines that are reliable and can be checked. I support you must register a month before election. Then you don't need ID's. I Believe absentee votes schould be for military and folks stuck in nursing homes. Or those handicapped with out transportation. But thats all. County election officiaols know who they are and can see there on level.

We spend LIFE & BILLIONS IN IRAQ to spawn a democracy . We have issues with the validity of our elections. We have more to worry about than the machines, we can' t even trust what little turn out we have is the actual count. Forget about the machines, we can't trust the people that run the system. You can't make this shit up ! Unbelievable !! This is not news, we have known about this and done nothing. Just another example of apathy at it's best. This is sad America, we have work to do.

Very True.:nono:
