All we've heard from W the last 2 days is how we all need to compromise and leave partisanship at the door.

Ummm, yeah, ok big guy.

He's done nothing but alienate and disenfranchise democrats for 6 years. They were neutered. He's led an atrocious group of neo-cons that recommended occupying Iraq with no sensible exit plan.

My question is, why the change from him?

The question is somewhat rhetorical, FTR.

Oh, and anybody that starts trying to blame the Democrats for anything that happens in Iraq going forward will be immediately identified as a total, complete moron in my eyes.

lol- just saw where W said, 'i'm open to any suggestions on Iraq.'

Now THAT'S some funny shit, given the timing and also his previous attitude/arrogance about Iraq.

Before it's all over the Dems will be blamed for Iraq. Bank on it.

Will agree Matt--also if you think Dems want it as they say your wrong--they are thinking revenge--we have never seen the fur that will fly in next two years--and it will be fun to watch.

Wonder what happens if Dems start wanting to cut defence (again) and halt survalience ect and the inevitable happens again--country will turn on em like a rabid dog.

--and guess what--GW has one in the hip pocket--no attack after 911 with support of gop congess ;)

I can't see that Kosar, even the most one-sided, small-minded Bush backers couldn't spin it that hard.

Now, when we finally get ourselves out of Iraq the Dems will be blamed for every little thing that happens after that, for sure.

As far as viewing people as complete morons if they do blame the Dems, well in all honesty anyone who defends Bush after the past 72 hours probably qualifies for that moniker to begin with, wouldn't you say?

Guys,
Let's be resonable, do we really think anything is going to get done for the better of the country? All I see is a reversal of the same stuff that has been going on for the last few years. The right has had all 3 and could not get a thing done so makes you think anything will change? Honestly our whole system just makes me want to puke sometimes.

I don't think anything will change. Cheney is going to suck this IRAQ gravy train to the bitter end and then after the next two years are up, Cheney will be the one to cut and run leaving a big mess and counting his huge war profiteering $$$$$$$$$$$$.

Cheney's wife is another $hit merchant. Her husband is a Good 'Ole Boy as long as he keeps bringing in the cash.

Wanna become President in 2008 , just promise America to bring the troops home...A guarantee victor.

Cheney and his ilk would cut his grandma's throat for the money.

what exactly has any democrat recommended regarding Iraq?

what exactly did Bush do other than giving out millions of dollars in leftist programs?

not sure Bush did anything other than nominate 2 supreme court justices that fit the Conservative agenda in which he disregarded the democrats

last time i checked, there were plenty of dem's all in favor of taking down Hussein

I have a much more positive outlook on this than all of you. Yes - if the new Dems want to behave like rotten children as the 1998 Rebs did then it will be ugly. But most of these people are moderate and hopefully (I think) not so spiteful.

Out: Fundamentalist bullshlt and divisive chickenhawk arrogance
In: Moderation and compromise

Did you ever respond to my last response regarding your inane quotes on this? I don't think I saw it, so unless you care to, then you have still been proven wrong on this one.

Just keeping it real, Doctor.

All I heard out of the mouths of republicans were how the democrats" flip- flop". Well what has Bush done in the last few days. 2 days before the election he is behind rummy and expects for him to be there the next 2 years. UH-OH democratrs put a thumpin on them and Rummy is gone and to futher lie about it he says he was contacting gates before the election.Talk about a "flip-flop". Now he also wants the Democrats help to solve the mess he started where he was saying "stay the course" just a few days before the election. I can't wait to here the spin and Kosar you are probably right that the Democrats will get blamed for the Iraq mess. I wouldn't be surprised to hear the Republicans say the Democrats are causing a civil war in Iraq the next few months.

Everyone wants to have a positive outlook smurph but like Kosar said the Dems were shit on for six years and now you think Bush is gonna have an open minded agenda towards the Dem?. Your kidding yourself. Its nice to be positive but reality is what i live in. Your comment abiout DTB being the right wing version of me was a total low blow. Were do you find i spin shit i would love to know? Just because i think your foolish to think all the sudden this corrupt clan is gonna drop thier knives and start working with the Dems doesn't mean you have to attack me by saying something like that. Also i don't blame everything on Reagan. This isn't Clinton where he would adjust for the best of the country. This clan has done nothing for anyone but the top one percent. By stock in pens because a lot of Veto's are around the corner.

They got a lot done i have to disagree with you. They got a energy bill that gave huge tax breaks to oil companies who were raking in billions anyway. They got a farce of a medicare bill that the pharmaceuticals made out like bandits. They started a war where some of there buddies are reeking in billions of dollars from war profiting and ole Dicky old company ceo made 100 million just this year. They kept minimum wages at the same level they were when they came in. They had all the power and with this power not 1 inkling of a health care plan for the nation. The only industrialize nation in the world without health care for everyone. They passed a trade deal called Cafta which may be the worst trade deal in the history of trade deals. They spent close to 400 billion of our taxes to start a war from a guy that never did a thing to us. They told us the oil revenue in Iraq would pay for it. Every prediction they have made about the war has become bullshit and they say what the dems offered would be a big mistake. Every prediction they made was wrong so maybe the dems is right since the Republicans have been consistently wrong.
