why not rutgers in the title game?

their remaining schedule isn't that bad. at cinncy where the over under should be like 12 or something, syracuse at home and at an overrated wvu team.

why can't they play for all the marbles.

if they do win out what's the point of even playing in a bcs conference if you can't play for the prize? why have the big east in it at all?

and rutgers, say goodbye to schiano. i don't have any clue what his contract is, but he's gone.

It will be interesting to see all those ESPN clowns touting WV or Ville then say Rutgers doesnt deserve a shot.

I figure WVa beats them and makes it moot

Schiano goes to Miami.

Could be upsets and poll shenanignas but saw an analysis that showed if this happens and texas wins out Horns probably get a rematch with Buckeyes....

I would be thrilled but lots of valid arguments against it...

wac isn't a bcs conference.

just like the mountain west isn't when utah went undefeated a few years ago.

but for some reason the big east is, and they shouldn't be if rutgers doesn't get a chance if they win out, which they probably won't anyway, but if they do.

WEST VIRGINIA WILL ABSOLUTELY DESTROY RUTGERS!!!

You can take that to the bank, and I will.....

Rutgers used every ounce of their good luck this season up in this game. I mean, seriously, what were the odds Louisville is held scoreless in an entire half?

rutgers in the title game?

are you kidding me?

they have no chance unless all 10+ teams in front of them lose

osu/mich winner

vs

tex
fla
cal/sc winner
sc/nd winner
aub-how the hell can they get in if they dont even make the sec title game?????

in the end this very well might all be settled on the field so why the stress right now by all the talking heads

the team who may benefit the most from all this is.......dare i say it....usc........look at their run if they win out......oregon-cal-nd-ucla-----4-0 vs those teams might just have them jump a few other teams ahead of them that might not lose (fla-aub-tex-)....

still sticking with my prediction

osu/mich vs fla (who i personally think isnt that good compared to tx-sc-cal but think they are positioned to move ahead of those teams)

one other question

how can the pac-10 not have a team in the top 5yet the sec has 2 when the pac-10 has been the #1 rated conf all year long???

Florida gets very jammed in computers in two weeks when they play Western Carolina......they probably have to have a Texas loss to get in even if they win out....their SOS only goes down...so actually Florida's position is deceptive...

USC is probably the only team that can pass Texas (if Horns win out) and that will be real close and that of course assumes they win out....

Rutgers will fly up the charts by knocking off WVA in Morgantown and IMO would get a title shot. However, they will be lucky to win against an improving Cincy club next week.

By the way, Schiano to Miami sounds right. This guy just wrote his ticket to a huge contract tonight. However, he's got a good thing going at Rutgers. Why not move their games to Giants/Jets stadium next year if he stays? They will have a Heisman front runner in Rice returning...

Also, why would he want to got to the mess in Miami right now? Schiano should ask for a raise immediately.

well i think that fla gets that right back vs fsu and in the sec title game vs ark-aub as opposed to tex playing a big-12 north patsy, none of which are ranked in the top 25 bcs standings

the computers hate texas and not sure that is gonna change too much

We can debate IF Rutgers deserves a title shot. But there is ZERO chance they get up there. Computers alone will kill them, even if impossibly they were moved to No 2 in the human polls...

unless 12 teams lose ahead of them how in the hell is rutgers gonna jump all the way from 13 to 2????

no way in hell rutgets gets to the title game....most were sceptical if lvlle would get there and they were sitting in a strong #3 position this week.

Now what?

We put USC or ND in the title game cause everyone loves them.

no

they get there if they are the second best team.....and if sc wins out, personally i think they are the second best team (but might not pass fla-tex) and would match up the best vs osu

as for nd, as a huge domer, i cant see them in the title game.

Its exciting isn't it?

Its exciting isn't it?

Every game is important all season long in CFB, its what makes going undefeated so special....But I don't think you can put Boise in the Championship game...
I do believe West Virginia beats Rutgers (@ W Va) on Dec 2nd and very possibly by a large margin...which will stir it up a little more.

We wait the next few weeks, watch Ohio St beat Michigan. Then there are still lots of good conference championship games remaining... who's playing the best after those are done??
You gotta consider all teams w/ one loss.... NO team w/2 losses. And it shouldn't be Michigan again ....
Florida/Arkansas/Auburn/Texas/USC/Cal /Notre Dame ???

Then after all these last games are played, watch and vote on who we think the best team w/one loss is cuz they get to play Ohio St.

Its too early and all the talk is just that... talk. Until some of these next games are played we can only speculate, and I'm done for now... g'nite and gg'luck to all.

GJn you aregue with me about BCS every year and I prove you wrong every year.

Florida doesnt "get back" playing a team ranked 300 plus. I dont think you understand how those rankings work. Especially by beating a 4 loss FSU. And since they already played Auburn (and lost) it doesnt help near as much as you think. They need to play Arkansas.

Yes the computers hate Texas...but they will be No 2 in human polls (2/3 of the formula) and with the other teams losing Texas keeps moving up in the computers even playing bad teams...games that wouldnt seem like they matter do -

I will look for the analysis I saw from some MIT guru....he claims absent something very weird it is Texas or USC, with a very slight chance for Florida....
