Heres the targets for this week folks. Comments welcome. Had a pretty nice weekend last weekend. Actually its been a nice year. Trying to continue solid picks. Here we go...

Rutgers - Let the college BCS soap opera rage on!

Wyoming - This team has been good to me all year. I think this is a good spot for them.

Illinois - think this team ends on a good note at home.

SJSU - I wish this one was still on National TV. Had big play potential for me but a medium play now. Boise is trading high right now.

Michigan St - Like them to wrap things up at home.

Cheers!

IOWA??? I know this line looks like a trap, but wisconsin owes iowa a few beat downs from the last few years and i think this is the year they do it. They are a better team at every position. I know your a good capper but id like to hear your reasoning behind this pick. Defenetly agree with you on the illinois game though

Well here's my reasoning. There is a lack of substance but at this time of the year substance can often result in a loss.

I've watched Iowa over the last couple years and made a nice chunk of money betting them in big games and bowl games. I like Ferentz and think he can rally the troops for their final game at home.

Frankly, this line just stinks and me, I love it.

Let me know if you see anything to help a friend back away from this but right now Im planning to pound it.

well besides the fact that iowa has been given way too much credit by the oddsmakers all season long i think they are like 1-9 ats this season. There defensive front hasnt seen a offensive line like wisconsin's all season long. Wisky has the revenge factor working for them, and there new coach has proven he knows how to win football games. The hawkeye offense has been brutal the last 3 weeks. I think they have a tough time moving the ball consistantly this week, and wisky controls the game. Good luck with your play but your putting your money behind a bad team no matter how good they have been in these spots over the last few years. This really isnt the same iowa team

I am at a crossroads with the Iowa Hawkeyes.

I am down on the season, but i would be up as much if Iowa was having its typical season against the spread. They've been a money maker in the Ferentz era, especially at home. Each season, i play all their home games and a couple strategically picked road games (like when they're at Minnesota, any Hawkeye fan will tell ya that place is nothing but Kinnick Stadium North). I clean up, and a sthe years have passed i have upped and upped my bets on these games.

This year, the Hawks are killing me. As stated previosly in this thread, they are 1-9 ATS including just 1-4 at home. Complete shocker!!! Now, i dont have it that bad, I have not been on them in either of their last games, both at home, and both losses ATS, including an outright L to Northwestern. I would have laughed if anyone before the season had told me i would not be wagering on those games with dough on Iowa. But they had so infuriated me, i knew it was time to go separate ways.

But, in their final home game of the year. A situation in which they're 13-1 ATS the last 14 years. Against a team they've owned recently and sport a 21-6-1 SU record against. And the game is basically a pick 'em.

This is the time i wish i had a sports gambling psychologist. I guess that's what this site is for. Still, the Hawks final home game of the year has been among my bigger regular season bets of the year in each of the last three years.

I am aboard ThrowinPicks.....just maybe not as much as i figured i would be when the season began. Maybe the Hawkeyes will kill me again, and, if they do, there's always one last hope next week at Minnesota.

Understand that man. I was on them vs. OSU and NW so I feel the same way going into this one. I think a good approach to this game is to watch the line and see how it acts. If it goes up to 2.5 or 3 either lower the bet or scratch it. Most likely the latter.

If not I think its worth a shot.

Cheers!
