I am not one to hype up any game or place a lot more on it then usual, but I LOVE THIS SPOT FOR WAZZU.

They are coming off a loss to Arizona, and not even that close - 17-27.

ASU got smoked at Oregon State, which wasn't a huge suprise 44-10.

Lets look at ASU. ASU has wins over Nevada, Colorado, Washington and Stanford. I dont count No. Arizona.

Colorado was a complete mess when ASU played them, the media was even talking the CU would go winless.

Nevada seems to be a different team now...they actually didnt play that bad against ASU but ASU was playing with confidence and this was the point in the season when ASU was reading into the media hype of them possibly winning the PAC 10. Now, that is :142smilie

Standford. :mj07:

Washington at Washington. I was actully suprised by this win, but it's fairly obvious they are reeling with the loss of Stanback...not to mention the backup QB sucks and they still dont have the talent there to be that good...all in all, a decent at best win.

Wazzu beat UCLA in the rose bowl...the last time ASU did that Kennedy was President.

They played USC a lot tougher than ASU did...dont be fooled by the final scores. ASU was getting rolled until Booty decided that he lost his mind and turned into a turnover machine, including a Pick-6.

They beat Oregon State at Corvallis, the same thing USC and ASU couldnt do.

They beat Oregon, who I thought was very impressive playing ASU and very tough to stop.

Plain and simple - THEY PLAY WELL ON THE ROAD. They have a seasoned QB in Brink.

ASU's WR are probably the worst in the PAC 10 if not West of the Mississippi. Kimbrough was actually the deep threat that can stretch the field and he tore his ACL last week. McGaha would be lucky to start for Fresno State...Richardson (T-Poor) is a mental midget that can't run routes. Jamaal Lewis, who is actually very good, is still suspended. They are probably going to start a true freshman in Kyle Williams (son of Sox GM Kenny) at WR, who is going to be very good in time.

Zach Miller is a stud that can't wait to get to the NFL...he is the only one worth his salt.

Torain, the RB, is a flat stud as well. Best RB at ASU since J.R. Redmond. He is going to play with a high ankle spain.

ASU lost their starting RTackle Berg 2 weeks ago to an ACL , and the starting LTackle Carnahan 4 weeks ago with a ACL...and now their 3rd best lineman (Krula) is questionable with a Ankle.

Rudy Carpenter is not the 2005 Rudy, and this is obvious. He is hesitent with his throws and now has happy feet. Dirk Koetter blames it on the WR, but Dirk is also a complete ass and doesnt wasnt to hurt his QB psyche too bad.

Wazzu is dealing with Injuries as well, which is why this line is where its at. Hill and Bumpus are both out with high ankle sprains. This Gibson guy has stepped up and played very well, though. The WR core is still better than ASU's, even with Hill and Bumpus out.

The key to this game is defense. Wazzu is very staunch defensively...and actually played a good game against U of A last week..the numbers are skewed by a 78 yard score (which I realize still counts), but take that away and Tuitama was 9 of 16 for 85 yards. The rush D gave up 2.6 yards per carry.

Basically, they came out flat last week against U of A. I dont think it will happen again this week. Doba is much better coach and ASU has shown nothing since the Nevada game to make me think they can beat a decent PAC 10 team.

WSU -1.5 BIG

Thanks guys

Add NC State +18.5. This is strictly a bet against Will Proctor, Clemson QB. I have never seen a QB lose his confidence that fast, and have it carry over into a game like last week. He couldn't hit Paris Hilton at a whore house against VaTech, then didn't improve his mechanics against Maryland.

This game is a mistmatch on paper, but NC State has solid defense and a stud WR. I am hoping for a few Proctor mistakes, and a NC State playing with some pride for Amato.

Add Navy -17...Dont like being with the public this much...but Navy has played a very rough slate this year, with playing two bad opponents in Stanford and Duke, both of which they blew out.

Adding my team, Rice, +14.5 at Tulsa.

In my opinion too many points...Rice is playing with unreal confidence with 3 SU wins as an underdog, including my pick of the week last week getting 9.5 against UTEP.

Rice's defense is not good, no doubt. But their offense is just as good as Tulsa's. Clement is the paradigm of efficiency with 17 TD's against 4 picks. The RB is a player. The WR, Dillard, could be a NFL 1st/2nd rounder and has caught a TD in like 13 straight games.

All I know is they can score and keep up with this team.

The ASU game is taking some big cash on ASU...this is setting up JUST like the Oregon/ASU game after ASU got smoked by Cal... where people are looking at their record at home and think they are the same team as in years prior. Don't fall for it.

Adding 2 more units on WSU.

Adding...New Mexico State +14 at Fresno State.

I dont get this line. Maybe because Fresno has played such tough opponents but I think this team might have given up. Hawaii at home rung up 68 on this team, and that is just embarrassing.

New rule, any team that allows 68 points to anyone in a season can't be laying 14 or more points.

New Mex St. +14.

Did I mention that I LOVE RICE. They are my new favorite team...

Doesnt WSU loss to Arizona look a little better now, considering the numbers say they should have never gave up 27 points (under 300 total yards to U of A)...???

Add another unit to WSU +3

3-1, Ill take it, but my biggest play lost.

I can't believe that happened, I am speachless. I guess that is why it's gambling.

I didnt watch it either, blg, as it wasnt on TV.

All I know is that the numbers point out that Rudy looks like the Rudy of old b/c this was the first time he was completing long passes since the Rutgers bowl game.

The defense played well, and there honestly is no explanation as to why that happened.

The line movement was ridiculous, which I thought was just like the Oregon game, but it was obviously "sharps" pounding it, not Joe Public like I thought...

Oh well...

How did you do otherwise?

I went an abysmal 4-7 this week, AR saved me with two winners but OSU/Mich fade cancelled AR's gift

I was so close to hopping on with ya with wsu - seeing that you had 3 winners before and i figured if you are betting against ASU then there is probably a good reason, but i figured I didn't want to chase any more bets yesterday to try to gain any ground on an already losing day, so i didn't pull the trigger luckily. Gotta say it is nice to see ASU offense back to its old self but I doubt we see it again this season
