can I ask why you want to sell before demand is at its highest? People dont understand that they WONT be able to get one of these units yet. They will go to the stores thinking they can just walk in and fill their kids X-mas gift only to find out people camping outside 3 days before got all of them. Then they will have to turn to ebay if they have the cash.

No offense but I think that makes absolutely no sense. The people that are going to be ebaying this unit are mostly rich parents trying to fullfil their kids x-mas wishes. Selling it on the night of the realease 5 weeks before x-mas doesn't make any sense IMO. Goodluck though and im sure you will catch a nice number on it.
Right after black friday weekend when all the parents realize they arent getting a PS3 seems best. Dont want to wait too late incase sony somehow releases more
it may make no sense to you, but i tracked average ebay sale prices last year with the xbox 360, and highest returns were seen the day of launch and 24 hours thereafter, even compared to black friday and 4 days after that, up until 7 days prior to Christmas day.
Wow, I didnt know you put that much research into it all, I apologize. Thats really weird though, I'd think prices would be increasing through early december. Could you post the link to your ps3 auction so we can track it?

Yes paypal will freeze you're account till you provide them with a tracking #... proof that it was delivered... THEN they will call the buyer to confirm... and then hopefully you'll have money to your own money.... crock of shit :mj07:
PS3 pre-orders have been going for about $1200-1500 - some $2000, it will probably drop after launch day.
I am not selling my PS3 pre-order, however will sell at launch day and offer free shipping - overnight.
However I am not happy w/ this paypal thing now- because the person can say they never received it and walk away w/ a free PS3.

From further reading - it seems that if you have the PS3 in hand then you can do whatever payment you wish - paypal is only accepted for selling the PS3- pre-order.
One thing to remember is XBOX had more units on release date and after - PS3 is has the lowest supply out of any launch and is 100% more popular then the XBOX. Their are a ton more fans of PS3 - so it might do the same before XMAS as it does on launch. Just my IMO though.
UT - can you explain this propay a little more. From what I understand people can pay through their desired credit card and it goes to your pro-pay account?

So what are you guys expecting to fetch for your ps3...? Ill be picking mine up on launch day from the ebgames around here. Ill probably ebay it the first week in December... I hope I can get at least 2k.
If you are selling XBOX or any of the high dollar items, ALWAYS ship it via UPS or FEDEX and have it signature verified.....meaning the buyer has to sign for it to get the item.....along with the tracking number, of course. There are some regulations both buyer and seller has to follow when it comes to high dollar items.
USPS has the same service, probably cheaper than UPS or FedEx.

Sony just cut 60% of the pre-orders. If you pre-ordered from EB/Gamestop expect a call - if yours will be in or not.
Where did you hear this...? I was one of the last to pre-order at the store by me, so if this is true, im not a happy camper.
