Usually don't play many early... like to wait until late non-conferace/early conferance play to make regular plays.
However, I do feel like there is some value in a play tonight, and since I will be in attendance in this game, I thought I would post it.

--- Going to make a half-unit play on this one.
KU is very weak in the middle. Giles was dismissed, Kaun is injured. So this means that Arthur/Jackson will share the center position... and Wright will stay at PF. They will of course be very undersized in the front court... and I dont expect them to be able to dominate the boards... something that a 25 point chalk should be able to do.
Also, I think Self will give his younger guys some PT... I would expect Morningstar to get around 8-10 minutes... and I think the 3 walk-ons will get some PT late in the game if the lead is over 15 or so with 2 minutes left (they are all goofy white guys).
Arthur and Collins will also be playing in their first games and will get quite a bit of PT.
As for NA, I dont know a ton about them outside what I read on the Blue Ribbon... but they have 4 starters back from a team that won 21 games. They also have a good shooting team. They have a SG, a 6th year senior transfer from SDSU, who led the nation in 3 point percentage. If KU's big men have to creep out a little to the outside on help, NA should be able to score a few points in the paint (especially with the undersized KU interior... and no "plus" defenders inside).
Now I like to post my trepadations for most my plays so you get both sides to make your decision, if you like... without Kaun and Giles, this is a much, much faster team. Wright and Arthur make up the fastest front court in the nation... both are athletic freaks... KU has probably the deepest backcourt in the nation, and they are going to get out and run. They could jump out quickly in the first half. The flip side, of course, is that their defense will suffer.
I expect NAU to hang in there and play tough... and lose by something in the neighborhood of 15-20 points. 25 points is just way too much in leu of circumstances.
